Nothing earth-shaking, just a general "sorry it's been ages, how's you" type message. Bit weird after he was the one that faded. Maybe I'll now get a 14 page letter telling me how awesome I am :rotfl:

Men can be a bit weird can't they?

Crumbs, yes! And they say women are fickle! :rotfl:

Oh no........... when I showed my other half, he looked them up on internet and you can get loads of them........... r2-d2 and darth vader heads too - SO COOL! I will let you know how it goes throughout the year! My family are currently shaking their heads at the thought of me with a welding torch - giggle - if only they knew what I got up to at work I don't think they would let me go!
If I manage to make them - I shall be making them all for you guys for free for payment of listening, mentoring, coaching services and all round fabulousness!

Tea - lol to Mr HL! Make sure you wait at least a week till you reply or at least send back - Oh, I assumed you weren't interested.

ok - and now for the "situation" - I am starting the new job tomorrow - remember 3-6 hours travelling a day - and wouldn't you know it - I have just found a local (like 15 mins each way) job advertised, part time, in my field etc etc - exactly the job I have been waiting to come up for the last 3 years as it is in the sector that I want and stress free on travelling front due to location......closing date is tomorrow morning. SO, whilst I feel horribly guilty considering I am starting a new job tomorrow, I am sitting here desparately trying to make a good application for the other job as it is just too good an opportunity to miss or pass up on. Salary is lower, but if you factor in travel time, the closer job works out at a few pence more per hour. Just ARGGGGHHH - there has not been a part time job in my field locally for years and it comes up now?!?!?!?!.

Fly, best of luck with the application. Timing....you have to laugh sometimes don't you?!

Maybe it's a good thing in a roundabout way....you have the confidence boost of recently being offered a job :)

Good luck for tomorrow, hope it all goes ok x

Complete change of subject, but has anyone seen the play Single Spies? I'm debating whether to book - it sounds a bit farcelike, which I'm not a fan of, but it's Alan Bennett, which I am.

Forgive my cynicism but guessing it didn't work out with whoever HL was seeing between NY and now.

Go for it fly. Nothing to lose. Good luck for tomorrow.

I have spent most of this weekend sleeping. Guess my body isn't quite up to speed with being back at work.

Fly it would be brilliant if you areble to make that, it looks fun. I think that it you don't apply for the other job you will always wonder what if.

elsien haven't seen it but I am a big fan of Alan Bennett especially 'Talking Heads'

code - I have been sleeping a lot just now but not at night. It's so frustrating.

Just made myself a fry-up, well in my grill machine and clever me cooked my egg in a cup and put it in the microwave.

Penguin on Call The Midwife I am recording this as husand is working but should be interesting as it deals with the affects of Thalidomide. End Penguin

I have to share this as, this guy is amazing.

He was born with no arms and he is an Olympic archer!!!!!

In this video he is shown changing his car brakes with his feet!!!!

It makes me feel so humble and I need to get a grip. if he can do stuff like that with his feet I can do it and I have two hands.

I have past this on to my husband. As I would like to encourage him to get back in to archery. Even though means my wednesday evenings and saturday mornings would be gone :rotfl:

    Oh well.

Not sure my husband will like me sharing you this story with you. But I am going to anyway :rotfl:

But when he was in hospital after his stroke. He broke my heart and made me cry.

He looked at me one day and said "I want to be Robin Hood" he was talking of course about his archery.

Sadly we have struggled with getting him the support he needs to get back in to it. He had his stroke 9 and half years ago. His bow has sat under his bed for about 6 years.

We were only talking about him selling a few days ago as well.

    Yours
