I am out of the fort, whitewing! Not the shoe horn! I have an old wooden shoe horn, I never use it but as you can't buy them anymore I am scared to get rid of it just in case.

Another panic stricken phone call from ER relatives.
Despite ER now being immobile, incontinent and still extremely delusional, the children say they've now been told that ER has to be discharged home before support/residential care can be considered.
My response started with a b and ends with an ocks. With an oll in the middle. I'm not sure how much is the family misunderstanding what's been said (hospital wouldn't talk to me as I'm apparently not a close enough relative), but if they've understood correctly the misinformation coming from the hospital is very worrying.

That doesn't sound right at all elsien. I always thought things like that had to be organised before discharging patients.

It's not right GeorgieGirl. But before I threaten the hospital with a safeguarding, I want to check the family haven't got completely got the wrong end of the stick. Which is quite possible. A combination of doctors chucking jargon/legalese around and a family who think doctors are god and are too scared to ask the questions they should be, or ask again if they don't understand - not a great mix.

That is so rubbish elsien! I really hope it's just misunderstanding (not that that's an ideal thing to hope for, but you know what I mean). Are there other agencies you can ask for clarification?
