Ok elsien. We'll give you a pass but you have to give us gitdog's 5 qualities. Hugs for the leg and the kenneling.

Tea - instead of planning a spring wedding, why not do another couple of dates with hotlips? DH lived 45 minutes from me when we first met so its nothing. You can keep 'shopping' in the meantime.

There's been no mention at all of meeting again, I think we're just flirty penpals

I read that as 'flirty pencils' :p Think I need to get more sleep!

45 mins to an hour whilst not ideal, is not that bad. Maybe another date with Mr Hotlips (I love that name!) needs to be arranged soon! :D

I've just spent the last half hour watching a spiralizer videos on eBay....my life is so exciting!

Well there was an invite for tomorrow which I couldn't make so there are now vague coffee plans instead (no actual day set so might not happen)...but kind of promising!

I love a cup of coffee when I wake up in the morning, heehee...

Does anyone know Sugar Coated Owl? I always think of her, especially at this time of the year, but her profile says Last activity: 26-09-2015 1:14 AM

I wonder how she is and send her my warmest wishes for 2016 wherever she is and whatever she's doing...

  • Vague coffee plans are still good tea, like you say, sounds promising!

I've never heard of Sugar Coated Owl WW. Was she a regular poster?

I knew SCO from this thread and its predecessor

I did invite her to join us here but maybe her life moved on. Bless her - she is sweet.

I promised to post a recipe for WaS.

    YOGHURT CURRY.

Buy the really cheap yoghurt from Indian shops - 3 big tubs (500g?) for £1. Get the coconut and turmeric there as well :D

    You will need:

    A large onion
About half to 3/4 cup dessicated coconut
a good sprinkle (about a dessert spoon) of cumin seeds (ask for jeera in Indian shop)
about 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder (ask for haldi in Indian shop)
You can also add chilli powder or http://www.pataks.co.uk/products/kashmiri-masala-paste.aspx (they sometimes have this or similar at Approved Foods) but you don't have to!

Fry the onion until transparent. Add the seeds and fry about 2 min, then turmeric and coconut. At this point it is traditional for me to get distracted until I smell burning, but better still, lurk over the pan, enjoying the smell! Cook until you think everything is cooked and ithe coconut is just beginning to turn brown, then add the yoghourt (about one big tub for one big onion) and heat through. You're supposed to not boil it, but it doesn't actually matter if you do. Serve with rice and enjoy!
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

    fly,

would it help to share, or have you posted on another thread, or it is too raw to post right now?

We can do misery posts on here, even when the general mood on the thread is light...

You can penguin it if you want to give people the opportunity to skip it.
