Hi guys, I managed to sleep and eat and I feel a tiny bit better, but I'm still struggling to come to terms with my mum and I'm struggling to find hope. My best friend has been back in touch and she is going to go mental at the mental health team tomorrow, and if they still won't help me, she is going to give me the £15 a week to get a low cost private therapist, which is unbelievably kind. She asked me to keep going for her, if not for me and I really will try. I just feel so scared about everything and the emotional pain of my mum has engulfed me, and I don't know how I will ever get over what she has done . Maybe one day, I will learn to love with it.

You have a fab friend there. She really must care and think you are worth while person. never forget that no matter how low you get.

One day and it will take time. As long as it takes. where you will get to position. where you wont think about it all the time. The pain may never go away but will be livable with.

Glad you got some rest and managed to eat. Hope you get some rest tonight.

    Take care

    Yours

    Calley

  • I am still up 3.45am and I am listening to music! See? This is what happens when I come off medication, I take more risks. There was a song that I listened to constantly when my mother was very ill when I was 18. I was also realising how disturbed I was thanks to therapy and also realising how my life wasn't like everyone else's. So I would play this song on repeat on headphones turned up full and sing the lyrics to myself to blank my mind. I can still listen to it and it still gives me hope, it's one of the few songs I can still listen to and one I clung to, it was my song.

So on that note I placed part of the lyrics in my signature, the bit that meant the most and the thinking that got me through. It still is very much my personal belief. It may not stay there because it reminds me of desperate times but there is lots of optimism for the future too. So perhaps it might.

Ah Pyxis. There I was feeling all grumpy and fed up that it's Monday and I have to go to work, and you post photos of dancing EBTs and cheer me up. :T

Welcome back JM. Hope you're suitably rested.

thanks guys.. I do have a really good friend, she had cut contact with me for the last 2 months so I really thought that she would never get back in touch, but she was down as my next of kin, and when she found out I had tried to kill myself, she got back in touch.. I hope you all have a good day :)

Talking of memory, maybe this could be researched/adapted for mh too:

faerie, that was very kind of your friend. Do you know where you will be able to get therapy from?
