Oh right thanks for that! the thing is they accept paypal so thought if the boots were counterfeit then I could reclaim my money back through paypal or is it best to leave well alone

I'd steer well clear. The prices are far too cheap on that site and the spelling and grammar for a site like that is not great. I don't think it's worth it.

Since dye is generally toxic and you wear ugg boots next to your skin, I asked Ugg through their website if any of their boot colours are undyed and got the reply:

"In regards to our Classic Tall Boots, our Chestnut colored boots do feature a natural un dyed fleece color."

I therefore bought Chestnut, and the fleece looks just a little bit dyed.

All dyes have a slight toxicidity, it is very low though, so low that babies can get away with it fine. Dyes are really only toxic enough to be worrying if you are invloved in the textile industry and are using dyes alot and in vast quantities. The residue dyes left on the shoes you wear, clothes you buy, food you eat .... is nothing to worry about.

And just to clarify, you can get black sheep!

    Hi

I got suckered at Christmas when i ordered a pair of UGG boots for £65. Yes, i was well aware i might get stung with a customs charge but it would still have been cheaper than paying the £150 or so pounds that John Lewis were charging.

Anyway i didnt receive a payment comfirmation so i googled the company. For some reason i could not find them. Turns out that in the few days since i ordered, google had deemed it a dodgy site selling fake goods and removed the website from its search engine.

I finally found the company from looking back on my internet history and confirmed via the UGG Australia website it was indeed a dodgy company selling fakes.

Anyway they arrived, and they were fake. The inside was faux fur, and the sole of the boot slightly thicker. The label was also stitched badly.

UGG Australia do list what they know to be sites selling fake, so if you want the genuine article, then research first.
