Oh dear missingink. You must be tearing your hair out. Please do try writing to them, or direct your email to a named person rather than just customer services, if you can find one.

Or even be less gentle with them and tell them straight you are sick to death of being fobbed off and ignored, and you are posting all of your very negative experiences with Hartings on a very popular UK based consumer website?

I'd be going crazy if I were you.

I'm trying very hard not to stress about it-it was making me feel v depressed.

OH says he's pleased with the way the boots look & that even if they fell apart tomorrow, I've had my(his)money's worth. Now, I don't know about you, but I equate the value of shoes/clothes to roughly £1 per wear(sad I know!) so I definitely haven't had anywhere near £87(and counting!)worth!

I have been emailing a named person, but to no avail.

I love my boots(looks wise) but they don't love me!:(

Have you used the email address hartings2005@yahoo.com? That's the one that appears on their "contact us" section of their website and they give their postal address with a map too. Not that it's any good if they ignore you.

Maybe try to find the NZ version of trading standards? Or could you get a phone card and ring them?

I don't know about YOU trying not to stress...this is starting to obsess me too now!

can anyone advise me, i was looking at buying a pair from grommies, nieces feet are a size 5 but in small/narrow shoes 5.5 the largest size they do is is a 4-5 do you think i am pushing it?? her feet have been this size for some time

I got a pair of these for my son. The sole came away within a week. I sent them back (at my own expense). They replaced them. Within 2 days the sole had started to come away again. Definitely not UGG quality, as they claim. Their customer service was unfriendly as well. I would not waste your money.

No, I used chris_m_hay@yahoo.com.au . That's the address used for the majority Harting's correspondance with me.

I find it a bit worrying that they use Yahoo email accounts rather than a professional business email... Im sure they are a legitimate company but it doesn't say much about them and what it does say isn't exactly great.

I really hope you get that sorted out!

It concerned me greatly too but seeing as so many people on here have had such good service & products from them, I really didn't think I had anything to worry about.
