Yes. I looked back on the forum to check before ordering and others have ordered before.

Blast! I've double checked the site and I'm not sure now as they have 2 types of short UGGs on the site and I doubt they're both real. Anyone bought from them and got their order? What were they like?

I've cancelled my order with them over the phone for now until I make sure.

Hi to be honest I dont think they are real, its good that you have cancelled.

Have a look at these, they are from the USA, so would be custom charges but they would still work out cheaper than buying them here, these are the real deal

  • you should look on asos, they have up to 25% off uggs at the moment selected colours and styles.

On the website they are australian sheepskin, but not in the way of the ugg australia (designer label boots). I don't think the label is even made in australia now, they were bought out. funny uggs! I bought all of mine from asos and shudoo, we have 6 pairs in my household.

Hmmm..not had too much luck lately! I had UGGs for a few years now - I've worn them to death which is why I'm buying more! I've had UGGs - best fit, Emus - cheaper but massively oversized, I got some Stinger Lo from mandmdirect.com a couple of weeks ago and bought a size down but they just keep giving! I've also got Just Sheepskin - Nice boots, very soft but sizing large again, and LFA - neat shape but don't really rate the sheepskin much. I'm thinking about going for Emu Outbacks now as they have a more rugged sole which should give me more support when I go walking with the dogs.

Can't fault shoe-shop.com's customer service tho - very helpful on the phone and have already emailed to confirm cancellation.

    1) The bottom of the boot is recessed with the UGG insignia in a Classic tall or short Authentic Ugg. A fake is flat.
    2) The seller says they are made in New Zealand or Australia for a Classic Tall or Classic Short. Uggs are Manufactured by Deckers Inc. They have been making them in China for the past 2 years. They used to make them in Australia and New Zealand but have not for 2 years or more. The uggs that are advertised as made in Australia or New Zealand are FAKES. They are not from Deckers Inc. They have copied the label and insignia but they are not from Deckers Inc.
    3) They are subject to copywright infringment as only Deckers is allowed to use the word UGG. They have also copied Deckers labels and boxes.
    4) The ones that are fake do not have a raised insignia on the bottom of the soles.
    6) Ugg Australia has required any Authorized Ugg Dealer to promise and sign an agreement not to sell on ebay. If the price is below retail then it is most likey a fake as only Ebay sellers who buy the boots retail are allowed to sell on Ebay. So if theya re buying them retail with tax and having to pay ebay and pay pal fees and they are not seconds and are grade a boots they will be selling for more than retail. Any boots you see being sold less are usually fakes. The price of the boot is a good indicator for a fake.
    7) The quality of the stitching on the fakes is very bad.
    8) The box is different: Genuine Ugg Box is one piece with a flip open lid attached. It is a strong sturdy box. The words "UGG Australia are wrten in the middle of the lid. The Ugg Logo is a starbust orange sun. It is not big but small. Ugg now as of May 2007 has a new box. It is a flip top box.
    9) The Care Booklet that comes with the boots is in white. It has the words "Ugg Australia" embossed and it is square. Fake ones are badly printed and in silver. The pictures in the booklet are sharp and clear. The fakes ones are not. They have been scanned and printed in color and appear fuzzy or unclear. The colors are exaggerated.
    10) Fake Uggs do not run a size larger as the real uggs do.
    11) Fake Uggs are smaller with a wider ankle.
    12) Fake Uggs are taller than real uggs.
    13) The heel of a fake Uggs is much narrower than a authentic UGG
    14) Some fakes are not sheepskin but wool dyed and will smell of the dye. it smells of paint/lacquer which comes from the dye used on the synthetic materials.16) The UGG label on the rear of the boots is higher up on a fake and the lettering is different from the genuine Ugg. The letters may have gaps between them in the fake in the real they are overlapping.
    15) The shape of the front part of the fake ugg is shorter and goes up at more of an angel than the genuine UGG which has a rounder longer finish.
    16) The selller leaves out any mention of Deckers in his description. He is selling Australian Uggs but not Deckers Uggs. Don't be fooled by this if you want Deckers Uggs. The box used is similar and copies Deckers Box and Logo, but they are not Deckers Uggs. If you email the seller he will tell you that he does not sell Deckers Uggs. An unsuspecting buyer sees authentic and thinks they are getting Deckers . The seller i is sellling "authentic" australian uggs and leaves out any mention of Deckers.

This information is very out of date, there are so many things that have changed on ugg boots that its best to disregard this list. Thanks to the OP for taking the time to post though as you weren't to know.

I have seen the latest fake uggs a friend of mine has bought a few pairs thinking they were real, they are different in comparison to the real thing but a lot harder to identify I would go as far as saying that unless you know the website is an authorised stockist who are listed on Ugg australias retailer list then they are fake. You may not even know until you have worn them a few months and they don't wear well due to quality, thats how good they look now, but they will wear differently due to poor quality materials and manufacture. There are enough online retailers available that if you check the list and are willing to pay the rrp then you will have no problems, there are discount codes for some stores but other than that the price is a giveaway. It is rare that anyone would be selling old stock unless its a store known for selling past season ie. tk maxx, m&m remember ugg boots have been a sellout now every year for a good few years, classic styles sell they dont carry over because they have stock leftover, fake sites have lots of stock showing, nobody selling genuine uggs would have 67 pairs available as there is not that kind of stock available.

    From what I have seen of the fakes, these are the things that are different;

*The chestnut ones heel label is slightly off colour.

*The black ones are really really black, genuine ugg australia black boots are black but not the darkest black, I have seen people in fake black ones and that is the one thing that screams out is how dark black they are.

*The wool lining is still not right on fakes, its still more like the fluff used for cuddly toys, a shinier more fluffy appearance, sheeps wool feels thick and is not really that soft to feel, the black again you can tell just looking at them they are way too shiny.

*The genuine ones now have a foam layer insole, so when you push down on the innersole you will fell it has a bouncy feel.

*The new sole is already being faked, but the label in the fakes I have seen is the old style thick label, my most recent uggs have a thin label the same as a clothing wash label which is printed, along with the size it says Outsole US patent pending, on the reverse it now gives you the logos with the fabrics used for the shoe, upper, lining and sole.

*The box has a totally removable lid, and the barcode area now shoes a photograph of the boot.

Remember all these things can be altered on fakes so this list will not be up to date for long. If you buy from a reliable source and there are variations to the list above re. labels and boxes this could just be different due to manufacturing dates.
  • i have genuine black ones and they are mega black black....

Yes my black ones are black but its hard to explain, they look like suede rather than sheepskin, and defo a lot blacker looking than genuine ones. Ok this is probably the best way to explain it lol, I am wearing mine now, if you turn the top over the wool inside is blacker than the outside, the fakes look more like the inside colour.
