I have found a site which have Emu Stingers for £80, rather than the £120 which Amaxon are looking for. It is based in Australia and is wwwfluffyfootwear.co.uk. It seems a great price, but I wondered whether anyone has any experience of them, and whether they are genuine?

I joined USC, they are at 1908 fans so not too many more needed! Whats the bet they exclude certain brands from their offer:rolleyes:

Uggs excluded. What a surprise. Their excuse is that Uggs won`t let them. Funny how they let the likes of shudoo and cloggs!
  • Hi

Punch suede and nubuck spray or clarks do one.

Not one for leather as it might have oils in which will ruin them.
  • I hear Australian's laugh at any one that buys UGG Australia UGG boots, as they're made in China often of poor quality cow skin lined with sheep skin. From what I'm told UGG Australia are not as warm or hard wearing as real Ugg boots and that UGG Australia are owned by the USA company Deckers.

Just don't want to support a bad company.

    1) The bottom of the boot is recessed with the UGG insignia in a Classic tall or short Authentic Ugg. A fake is flat.
    2) The seller says they are made in New Zealand or Australia for a Classic Tall or Classic Short. Uggs are Manufactured by Deckers Inc. They have been making them in China for the past 2 years. They used to make them in Australia and New Zealand but have not for 2 years or more. The uggs that are advertised as made in Australia or New Zealand are FAKES. .

I've just been looking into this, UGG is a description of a sheepskin boot in Australia and New Zealand. It's like using words such as "trainers" or "boot" or "shoe". Deckers do not own the word UGG in Australia or New Zealand and these companies are selling their UGG Boots, but not "UGG Australia". Turns out that UGG has been used for about 150 years in Oz, but the Deckers (UGG Australia) company are trying to sue them.

If you're just after UGG boots for wearing then for comfort or warmth: buy them from Australia or New Zealand, if you're a slave to fashion and want poor quality boots made in China buy american company Deckers "UGG Australia".

The whole suing thing is old news, Ugg australia didn't win the rights for the name ugg. Aussies can still sell their boots as uggs, thats what this thread is about, helping others find a suitable ugg boot in a brand they can afford and like.

We may as well be slaves to fashion where labels are concerned because aussie companies have hiked their prices to pretty much the same as the Ugg australia brand meaning you may as well opt for the label that isnt deemed fake by people who dont know the real meaning of the term ugg. ;)
  • So I got my 1st pair of Uggs ever, Baileys from Viva La Diva. Do they stretch at all? They feel fine now that my feet are inside and plenty room for toes but they were a little tight pulling them on.

  • sorry, new to the hole ugg thing, wanted slippers for winter and I was reading through the last few pages and saw that post on page 374 by user spt23.

I know I won't be buying "UGG Australia" if they're made in China of cow skin and have the wool sewn in as a lining. I want the real single style sheep skin. Better off paying for better quality.
