I have several pairs of each, and whilst the EMUs look just like UGGs on the outside, they are nowhere near as comfortable. The fleece isn't anywhere near as thick, or as soft and doesn't mould to you feet in the same way. That said they are a lot cheaper, and they are real sheepskin (unlike the boots that you get from Primark etc) and they are otherwise well made. I bought a few of my pairs of EMUs from TK Maxx last year for between £15 and £20 (and that was for the tall boots that look like the UGG Sundance).
However the best sheepskin boots that I own are Koolaburra, again they look exactly the same as uggs, but I think that they are better quality, softer fleece and perfect stitching. However this year they seem to be more expensive than UGGs

Obviously it is down to personal preference. Emus are waaay cheaper than Uggs, but are not made of the same quality materials. As far as I understand, the Uggs are lined with australian sheepskin, whilst the Emus are "Merino wool".. now Im not an expert, but I would hazard a guess that the sheepskin Uggs are more cozy and comfortable.
It depends how much you want to spend, Uggs are the best quality (IMO) but if your budget doesnt stretch that far, go for the Emus
EDIT: Oh, and if you have a TK Maxx nearby, keep an eye out because Im always seeing Emus in there.0 -

I just checked banking online & I have been charged 207.86 Aussie dollars, which turned out to be £93.07 sterling. For the tall ones & the $35 shipping, Is that right?
That £93.07 works out (ON THEIR ONLINE EXCHANGE RATE LINK)$190.18. I thought I was paying $185, perhaps the other $5.18 is the charge for exchange.
You are confusing your dollars
The prices for the boots and shipping quoted on the website are in US dollars but obviously this is then converted to AU Dollars when payment is taken.
When I bought mine last month I was charged 208.33 AU dollars, which was 87.28 GBP, so looks like the exchange rate is fluctuating slightly.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
