If I were you I would keep the boots and wait to see if Paypal come back to you, I doubt the seller will do anything to draw attention to themselves, they stand to lose pittance on those fake boots they are more likely to let it go so they can continue their scamming and taking more money from unsuspecting buyers. Keep them a few months (I would check the law on how long this is) and if you dont hear anything then destroy them. You certainly dont want to call Paypal and get into a debate on how you should be paying for them if they have not recovered their funds from the seller then they will be after you for the money! They are fakes they are worth nothing to you, its illegal to sell them and its illegal to post them back. As you signed for them the seller could ask them to be returned, you would then either have to return them as Paypal would tell you to or provide proof they are fakes. I'd sit tight for the time being and see whether they chase it up, as long as you have the goods to return if need be.
On 2 Jan. 2009, we attempted to transfer 96.20 GBP from your bank account, This transfer was returned by your bank on 14 Jan. 2009 for the reason below:

The bank is disputing the Direct Debit Instruction (DDI).

As a result, this bank account has been removed from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.

THIS IS A COPY OF THE EMAIL I RECIEVED TODAY FROM PAY PAL DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE ALREADY PAYED THE SCAM COMPANY?...

Yes they would pay the scam company, at the point your bank cancelled the payment they would then try to clawback the funds from the seller, its likely if they are still accepting orders that there would be funds available or they will debit the seller and leave them in negative balance until they have more funds paid into their account. What happens next depends on the seller, if they are not keeping a good track on their Paypal account or they are happily scamming whatever they can get regardless of Paypal claims/disputes then you probably wont hear anything if they are then they may contact Paypal and tell them they did send the boots and give them the tracking details in turn I guess Paypal would come back to you. This isnt a legitimate business you are dealing with so I wouldnt be surprised if they make no effort to defend your claim.
