Sorry if im being a thick newbie 1st of all ! iv looked around the web all night for ugg cardys in grey size 3..most uk sites out of stock but then a 'genuine uGg Australia' branded ugg came up on a website called 'topAbuy.com' and at a price of £55.39 direct from China, it states on there they are 100% genuine and has the authorised logo too. They are also on 'skype' and visa verified and paypal authorised etc etc.. Anyone had dealings with them or heard anything about them? many thanks..Richard (buying for gf NOT for me! haha)

Steer clear of this one, they are also selling GHD's another popular item to fake. In all honesty I think you will struggle to find cardy boots now, shudoo is totally sold out, as is the Ugg Australia website unfortunately google throws up all the fakes so you have to be really careful. HTH

hi has any one ordered from goodugg. i did 2 weeks ago when i went to their checkout they said my payment was £60.30 but when they took money out of bank it was £76 they have said it was due to exchange rate, but i had it on £ on their website and how can it be that much different, they have still not even shipped them yet.

I ordered boots from the same site (www.goodugg.co.uk) on 1st Dec and still haven't received anything. I have now stopped payment since reading your comments. Have you recieved your boots yet or did you get your money back?
  • Thought I'd let you know about a positive purchase from Ebay. I bought a pair of Chocolate short Uggs, size 5 on Wednesday and they arrived this morning.

They are the real deal and cost me £75 plus £11.99 next day special delivery. They were listed for £85 but had a "make me an offer" button - which I did for £75.

I have had several pairs of Uggs in the past and the things I look for in a listing are:

    - 100% feedback and don't sell loads of the boots

    - described as authentic/genuine (which I know fakers put too)

    - as many pics as possible of the Uggs - back, front, underneath sole, heel label

    - look for the small "registered" symbol on sole next to "Sunshine" logo

    - the sole is all in one piece and not a visible line where raised part of heel is joined (ie, two pieces of sole)

    - based in the UK

    - and, MOST IMPORTANTLY to me, offer a refund if not happy with item.

Not worth me mentioning the seller as this is the only pair she had and had ever sold.

The above points don't always work (as I did have a fake pair sent to me a couple of years ago - but the seller offered refunds, which I got without any problems) and people will probably post that they've done the same and still got fakes, but just thought I'd let you know about my positive experience from Ebay if you are vigilant!

Good luck everyone in getting yours ok.

I want to buy a pair of EMU's but after looking on a few websites, I have seen two different labels. One just says EMU and the other also has a flag above. Also, some have an oval 'badge' on the heel whereas others seem to be kind of 'inscribed' with the word EMU. Does anyone know which I should be buying or if it doesn't make a difference? Thanks in advance....

If you want the SHEEPSKIN ones, you'll need to look for Emu Stingers. Puddlebeach.com have some good offers on at the moment. Emu also do cheaper SUEDE ones with Merino wool, but having seen both, I'd go for Stingers every time :-)

There are genuine boots available on ebay, I have sold several pairs of my worn ones and also new ones bought for friends which didnt fit.

I have looked at some on ebay last night and some of the fakes are awful! I really feel for some bidders who just dont know, with the listing claiming 100% genuine the real deal and I never sell fakes

Bluemonkey has listed a genuine pair several times and is not getting paid by the winners, I think the fakes are getting high prices for how rubbish they are and the genuine ones not getting their true value because people think well they are cheaper from another seller not realising the cheaper offers are fakes.

Ebay is a funny place, you just got to be careful, some people sell a one off pair and dont know they actually bought fakes, and others are just damn right rip offs! Finding a genuine pair can be done, you just have to be on guard. :D

Is this site selling fake goods?

    :question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question:

How many times have we been asked this question recently? I appreciate not everyone is computer literate and able to recognise a dodgy website so here are a few pointers which will hopefully prevent you being fraudulently parted from your hard-earned cash, and not just when buying Ugg boots!

    ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS
perform the following checks on any website you are unfamiliar with before even thinking of buying anything ....
    • Is there a contact address? - ditch any website that uses only a webform/email as means of contact.
    • Is there a landline telephone number? - avoid any website that either doesn't provide a phone number or only a mobile number. Also beware of premium rate numbers.
    • Is the site secure? - check for the presence of the locked padlock sign or https:// (with additionals S) at the start of the address in the url bar above.
    • Is the site registered in the UK? - use a "whois" search facility such as http://www.whois-search.com/ to check the registration details of the website for country of origin, name/address registered and most importantly at this time of the year - the date the site was registered!

If a site suddenly pops up selling all the top designer gear, and has recently been registered, advertising lots of stock with promises of delivery in time for Christmas then it's likely to be a scam, so STEER CLEAR!!!

    Yuan Chen

If you find that the registrant of any wesite is listed as this person then please do not touch the site with a bargepole!!!!

This man is a con artist operating hundreds of illicit websites selling counterfeit products and has a number of websites already registered specifically using the word UGG in the url. Any website you come across using the word ugg MUST be checked.

    CHECK IT OUT BEFORE BUYING!!!!

:rotfl: You'll have to wait for the next page. :rotfl:

I think we need another post explaining how to search the forum for info on these fake sellers, the same sites keep popping up, and they do come up on search I have checked.

True! You can do that one :p:D

Btw, my page is set to 40 posts per page so shouldn't be too long until the next re-post the way this thread goes :rotfl:
