On the plus side they'll be here Monday and I really hope they fit as well and look as good as I'm hoping. I definately am going to open that bottle of Blossom Hill White Zinfandel that's in the fridge
According to this BBC article you shouldn't have been charged customs duty unless your boots were more than £105?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7727717.stm
"Internet shoppers will not have to pay customs duty on items they have bought for less than £105 from outside the EU."
If you got the Emu Stingers which are priced no more than £60 I'm puzzled as to why they charged you.0 -
Customs Duty and VAT are different - they are charged as one and people tend to say 'Customs Charge' but the customs charge is the Handling Charge, VAT AND customs duties on the total value (INCLUDING any postage charge on the parcel). The Handleing charge with Parcelforce/Royal Mail is £8.
Customs duty is not a great deal of money in all fairness and you probably would not even notice. I spent £72 on boots and I worked out the saving on my £22 Customs bill would have been £3!0 -
I got a code from www.kidsportvail.com enter holiday for 10% discount. Expires 1/1/2009. Last date for International Posting is 11/12/2008 so too late for Xmas pressies to definately arrive now.0

If you google '419', you'll come across a site where the chaps respond to these scams and really wind up the scammers - it's brilliant - one guy even got a silly tattoo in the hope of robbing a church blind! You should let them go to town on your one!0 -
