That sounds expensive to me!!!

I only paid $25US shipping fees for my boots from Aussie Direct. In fact the boots and postage together only cost me $59.95US (£35) Ok, they're not Deckers brand Uggs but are excellent quality genuine sheepskin boots and I refuse to pay £100+ for a stupid little label that says UGG on it

$25 would be the right price for uninsured postage for a parcel with such little enclosed value, the extra Insurance covers you for having that stupid little label that costs £100+ ;) in case they get lost (stolen!!) or damaged in the mail!! RM charge an additional £6 for their Insurance on top of usual postage price so to send a pair of kids Uggs overseas would cost around £26 UK to US - more if you are buying ladies or mens sizes!!

But if you are only paying £35 you could cut out the waiting time and pop to TK Maxx and get some from there for £40.

They only took 3 days to arrive and it would cost me more in petrol and parking fees to get to my nearest TKMaxx :p

I do have some "proper" UGG's, bought last year, but to be honest I find other brands (Kiwi-sheepskins, Canterbury, Celtic etc) to be far better quality and much cheaper. I'm also not fond of the classic design as they are boring, plus every man and his dog seem to be wearing them these days, so much prefer something a little different like Nomads, Toscanas etc ;)

No offence to all you girlies who like your UGG's of course :D

Does anyone have the black kiwi classic boot as the thing that puts me off with those is the two tone heel of the boot, and the fact that I haven't seen them - the DH says he wont take me to NZ just to look at them in person :p

I just bought short black sheepskin boots from New Zealand Nature Company. It's the second time I've dealt with them and I only wish all companies were this good. There are quick and very friendly and mark the package 'Gift' so there is no duty to pay.

The boots are absolutely fantastic too ;)

I recently ordered my cardy uggs from cloggs.co.uk. Got a 5% discount with them (not much but every little helps) and their service was great. Received my uggs very quickly and was really pleased. Hope this helps :D

    Hi,

Could you help me out with the size please?

Should I order a size small (as per classic boots) or should I order my true UK size?

There are 2 statements on here each saying the opposite to each other... order smaller size & order true size!

Hi MrsJ, can you find anywhere locally selling them to try some on? Maybe a small boutique that does brands. It is so hard to tell as everyone has different sized feet. I sell bras and what fits in one size of one brand will not fit in another style bra of the same brand, if that makes sense. Once people know what fits they can then buy with confidence. It is the same with feet.

Another option would be to buy some from the UK that does free returns (does ASOS have them?) and then order them, send them back and then order some more from a cheaper website. So effectively you are paying £4 to try them on but if you can save £30 by buying elsewhere then it has to be worth trying them on than getting them wrong.

I know that is not exactly the right way to go about it but it is hard to tell without trying stuff on. Does that make sense??

I am a UK size 5 so I ordered a UK 5.5 (Euro 38) and they perfectly. This is in the Cardy Uggs so not sure what the sizing is for suede uggs. :)

They shouldn't have a chemical smell

In fact, if I remember rightly, last year some people were saying that a strong chemical smell was an indication that they were fake boots but I'm not sure whether that has ever been established. Certainly none of my own boots have ever smelled of chemicals, just the usual sheepskin/leathery type smell.

Maybe your OH has a faulty sense of smell ;)
