The Kids boots are shorter but I am not sure how much.

I have both Kids & Adult Uggs. [Kids Chocolate Short, Adult Grey Short].

The Kids ones seem about 3/4 of an inch shorter.

Kids boots: go to http://www.kidsportvail.com/ for these, they have the biggest range as they only sell kids boots. They styles are pretty limited elsewhere, especially in the UK, I have ordered mine from http://www.hansensurf.com/ as they had the biggest discount. I got confirmation yesterday and paid £65 for the kids short classics, expect to pay £17 more for the tall classics.

I am kind of interested in the kids ultimates that they have really thich soles and that kidsportvail has them in - that is how I found the site - they look much studier than the standard classics.

it's not the international suppliers, or the couriers, its customs and excise that charge customs tax.

any item you order from outside the EU worth over £18/£36 is at risk of customs charges

Hi - I've just been to the www.hansensurf.com site but I see the postage cost is $40 plus any taxes payable. Is the £ price you've quoted for the Tall boots inclusive of postage?

    Thanks!

    Hi SQ,

Yes, the taxes they mention are what you will be charged by customs when they arrive. There are no local taxes applicable on International transactions - in the US they add taxes on after purchase, not like here in the UK where they are inclusive, but this will not apply to an international transaction. My card was charged $112 for the kids small classics plus postage which was £65, for the kids Talls I can expect to pay around £80 depending on the rate for that day.

The ladies Talls are $160 but there is a code for 20% off - so they would be $128 and postage is $40 - so it would be a total of $168. Depending on the rate for that day that would be around £85-90 for the ladies tall classics, plus any duties payable when the item arrives (which could be around £20-25). I have not had mine yet so am not sure whether I'll get charged, it is hit and miss as it depends on how the customs label is filled in but I am assuming that I will get charged to be on the safe side.

Just to add that $40 for shipping sounds expensive but this is the right price to pay for insured delivery - it works out at around £23 which is about right for a big package to go insured via USPS (the US Postal Service - they will come via Royal Mail this way). Bootbarn charge $75 for shipping which is way overpriced! From personal experience a courier (Fed Ex, UPS, etc...) will always deliver and send an invoice about 2-3 weeks after your boots have arrived. I think if you get away with courier charges you are very lucky. If RM are going to charge then you'll be aware of this when the package arrives, they do not invoice later. It's 50/50 chance on whether you get charged via them, it depends what is on the customs note.

I actually looked that site up on whoisdomain. the chap is registered in bejing & has around 10 other sites listed for various boots & trainers he has a hotmail contact address which includes nike so will not be buying from there- very cheap & connected with too many other cheap branded shoe websites.

That sounds expensive to me!!!

I only paid $25US shipping fees for my boots from Aussie Direct. In fact the boots and postage together only cost me $59.95US (£35) Ok, they're not Deckers brand Uggs but are excellent quality genuine sheepskin boots and I refuse to pay £100+ for a stupid little label that says UGG on it
