I've just ordered a pair of tall chestnuts from Austraila Direct - have I made an expensive mistake?
yes
Why?
Did i not read on post 1 that MSE investigated AustraliaDirect Uggs and found them to be genuine but a 2004 style?:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Here its is
From post 1
Update 17 December 07.Some MoneySavers have expressed concerns over the quality and legitimacy of Ugg Australia boots from one seller, Australia Direct. To investigate, we sent a pair of the suspected fake boots to Deckers, the company that owns Ugg Australia. They confirmed that they were indeed genuine, but were old stock from 2004.

Ah, I have some sad news......
Today I got superglue all over my Uggs - don't ask, it's to distressing to think about!! I've looked for some more and I am stunned at how much they are asking for them now. Bearing in mind they usually cost £45 from the US some US sellers are asking £140 for Kids Classic Short Boots.... Good grief, do they really think people are that deperate that they will pay for them??
Which leads me to another question.... I have my black size 3's which are too big (didn't manage to sell them on eBay), is there something I can buy, maybe an insole, that will bulk them out a bit so my feet don't slide about. Are the insoles in the bottoms easy to get out. Any advice appreciated,. in the meantime I am off to find out if there is a way to remove superglue from sheepskin0 -

i am a uk size 6 and my us size 8 uggs are a bit too big so i got some thick sheepskin insoles and just put them in on top and now they fit me fine0 -
Thanks pinkgem, sounds great if I can do that. I knew there was a reason for them not selling.
Sorry to be dim, where can I get them from? Online if you can find them, i don't go shopping in town unless I am desperate!!0 -

Hi Mookie, I found those just after I posted. i think I'll order them tonight when the kids have gone to bed and I might have them by the middle of the week. Thanks. I did just remember though, I have to order size 3 and not size 2 that I have in my basket, LOL!!0

Others have had boots confirmed as fakes, I think its Mattybach? or something similar who had 4 pairs confirmed as fakes by Deckers. The boots I received were also very suspicious too.
Besides even if they were genuine they looked fake, Hartings have recently cancelled all orders as they werent happy with these Australian made Deckers boots. If Ugg stockists wont accept them for fear of bad feedback then you have got to question whether you would be happy with them.0 -
