:j I have just ordered some of the UGG Australia boots from aussie direct :j I have had a pair of £10 fake ones which have lasted well this summer  but the heels have not got enough strength in them and I look like my ankles are turning in when I wear them now :o I have gone for the cheapest option for delivery so it will probaby take a couple of weeks......
Thanks for the information in this thread - Im looking forward to having toastie warm tootsies this winter :D
I went for the cheapest postage ordered wednesday and they arrived monday so I don't think you will have to wait too long hopefully..
  • While Uggs are very nice, Emus are just as good. I've just ordered a pair of Emus from Hardcloud - see here:
    http://www.hardcloud.com/product/200703ct.asp

Tall Brown ones for £47.94 including delivery :-)

They do black ones also and the short ankle ones.

I believe another surfing shop - extremepie do the emu boots (in the nice sand colour) for about £50 inc delivery as well.

    Hope this helps someone!

Whilst on the subject of other boots, does anyone know where I can get a pair of Minnetonka boots like these from?

I've tried everywhere I can think of (online) but can't seem to find any in stock anywhere :(

  • You have to look very hard but if you read their terms and conditions it states the following at the bottom of the page

    11. Disclaimer

Please note that we are not affiliated with the American company Deckers Outdoor Corporation and their UGG Australia brand.

Also you can tell by the fact that the UGG label at the back has UGG in letters of the same size. UGG Australia (the ones the celebs wear) has a larger sized middle G and no writing above the UGG logo.

They look pretty good and to be honest most people wouldn't know the difference unless they look hard, but I felt I had to point this out to let people know that they aren't the UGGs they think they are.

Obviously it's up to the individual, but the only true Genuine UGG boots that became a massive celeb craze are UGG Australia made by Deckers Outdoor Corporation.

Yeah, i had Emu's last year........they are very similar to Uggs i must admit, only less expensive.

They're very comfortable and they look so cute too!

Ideal for girls on a budget or as a second pair.

Hi Joey thanks for your concern but most of us havent bought uggs from the link in the first post but were talking about the uggs from http://aussiedirect.stores.yahoo.net/uggausran.html who have a deal on at the moment where uk customers dont have to pay important duties & tax, and these are the real thing! :D
  • thanks for the heads up on Aussie direct I've been looking everywhere for some reasonably priced Uggs.I got a cheap pair but they are already failing me so they have now become my slippers.
Just ordered me some short black Uggs :D

Hi..i am a newbie here (hello!) i came across this thread on google and am now intrigued with the website http://aussiedirect.stores.yahoo.net/ and whether or not the UGG Australias the sell are genuine..

i emailed them to ask them some questions, but got back those Delivery Status Notification emails saying that sending had failed (grr!)

anyways, i was hoping someone who has bought a pair of UGG australias from this website could answer some of my questions..?

    1. does the logo on the back of the boot looks EXACTLEY like the image i have pasted below? i.e. the middle 'G' is larger, the word UGG is followed by the trademark 'R' (placed in the same spot) and the word "Australia" is in the same font as below.
    UGG_logo.gif

    2. On the sole of the boot, where it says "Ugg," is the trademark "R" (the 'r' in the circle) next to the second 'G' towards the bottom (As above)? also, on the "UGG Australia" bit on the sole of the shoe, is the trademark "R" in the EXACT same spot as the one above?

    3. Where is the boot made? it should say so on the label.

    4. did you DEFINATLY not get charged tax/import duties?

id reeeaalllyyy appreciate if someone could help me soon as I want to get them in the next few days so can get the 'tex free' offer! THANK YOU!
  • Hi, I'll admit to not having read through the whole thread, but there's a great page on ebay which tells you how to check for fakes -
