there were loads of them in my town today ( corby, northants ) they had severl different styles the pink ones were £49.99 they had other colours same price , childrens ones from £29.99 , the tall lace up ones bottom of pic were 99.99

to the person who said tk maxx dont sell quality ,, they are exectly the same quality as they are the same uGg australia boots ! TK maxx are well known for selling designer products at a good price

TK maxx sell genuine labels, the only reason they are cheap is because they are normally past season stock from department stores.

Seeing as UGG boots havent gone out of fashion they are a bargain. I'm going to check my local store and see if they have any.

ooh can only use code once do I buy more than one pair???!! hehe

You only get the discount on ONE item so no point ordering more than one pair per order ;)

• Cheers Martin! Once again, highly informative and useful. :T
I'm new to all this forum mullarky so bear with me!
I justed wanted to let people know about what I believe is the cheapest UGG (R) boot retailer online.
The company is called Hartings and they're based in New Zealand.
www.hartings.co.nzangel-smiley-002.gif

I know their boots are the real thing (manufactured in China by Deckers Outdoor Corp) since I ordered a pair from the official UGG site a couple of months ago and then found these guys. I've just received a pair of tall chocolate UGGS for £109.95 and have compared them side by side with the ones I bought from Uggaustralia.com and they are the same.

These guys are the best: They don't charge for postage unlike other sites AND I didn't pay anything else so the price they quote is the price you pay:

Classic short - £89.95 (UK retail £140)
Classic tall - £109.95 (UK retail £170).

A bargain! I can't recommend these guys enough! I work in trendy South Molton Street in London's West End where all the shoe shops stock UGG's but at exhorbitant prices.
Get the look for the right sort of price.

By the way. if anyone knows a website that is overall cheaper than Hartings then I'd love to know.
Thanks for reading and I hope this is helpful!

What’s the deal with cheap Ugg Boots?

While trendy sheepskin Ugg boots typically cost over £170 on the high street, it’s possible to save heaps by ordering from Australian websites which deliver to the UK.

When is an Ugg not an Ugg?

Having done some digging, it appears that in Australia, the word Ugg is a generic term for sheepskin boots. So just because a pair of Ugg Boots isn’t made by “UGG® Australia” –the famous brand beloved by celebs such as Pammy Anderson – they aren’t necessarily fake.

Aussie folks have been making Ugg-style sheepskin boots for over a century. Many MoneySavers have given feedback that alternative brands such as Kiwi Sheepskins and Snug Australia can be just as snug and comfy as UGG Australia. Kiwi Sheepskins start from £50 inc delivery and Snug Australia from £62; so if you’re not fussed about the posh brand, these can be a baa-gain (sorry!).

How to check that boots are genuine UGG Australia

The famous UGG Australia brand is made by Deckers corporation. If that's what you're after there are ways to spot imposters.
• UGG Australia boots have a large middle G on the logo, as seen on the Office website
• They have real sheepskin fur inside; fakes often use synthentic
• They are made in New Zealand, Australia, and more recently, China
• If you want to check that a retailer is legit, email Deckers at info@uggaustralia.com and ask that retailer is licensed to sell UGG Australias
There's an interesting explanation of the history of the Ugg trademark on Wikipedia.

The cheapest supplier of 'genuine' Uggs

Australia Direct sells UGG at prices from £80 including shipping, although it is a small company, they may run out of stock if lots of MoneySavers at once come to try and get them. Many MoneySavers who have have been happy with the boots ordered from there.

To confirm the authenticity I contacted the Deckers press office and they've confirmed that AussieDirect sell genuine boots, though by the sound of it they're not best pleased, "Aussie Direct is not one of our retailers, but they do sell UGG Australia boots. The common frustration from people who order from Aussie Direct is that they also sell non-authentic shoes and customers often times cannot tell the difference."

Therefore you can get a bargain pair of authentic UGG Australia boots, just check that this is on the label.

How to pay

When buying from an Australian website, do beware of customs VAT and duty charges too. Using the right piece of plastic is the cheapest way... but make sure it's the right plastic, read the Spending Overseas article for details.

Credit cards are better than debit cards!

Spend on your credit card and you have more rights than you do on a debit card. This is all about Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act which makes the card provider jointly liable with the retailer if anything should go pear-shaped.

Up until recently this didn't apply to goods bought overseas but this was challenged so buy abroad and you are now protected. Pay for goods over £100 fully or partially on your credit card and if something goes wrong you can simply make a claim direct against the card provider without having to contact the retailer at all.

New to MoneySavingExpert.com?

This is an ad-free, free to use Consumer Revenge site all about saving money. The best way to keep in touch is with the free weekly e-mail which includes scores of bargains and top deals (and which this Ugg Boot note came from)

Martin

PS This post has been added to the discussion to give some a more detailed researched summary. Thank you very much to MoneySaver me4bargains for starting it off (see below).

Can I just ask why it is that UGG is so popular that people are willing to pay twice the price of other quality sheepskin boots purely for the sake of a small label? (and yes, I fell for the hype myself when I bought my black ones ;) )

Is it just because a "celebrity" was seen wearing them?????

I must admit I feel a complete fool now for rushing out and buying a pair, despite only paying half the price of UK boots, although at least I can take some solace from that.

I've got a short sand pair here from kiwi-sheepskin that only cost me £26 delivered and they are far better quality than my UGG's, and now, looking at the Hartings site, I see I can buy the tall chocolate Canterbury boots for £65 delivered!!!

Why oh why are we all paying the premium for UGG's when it appears they are actually an inferior product compared to others??? :wall:

Oh My God!!! I can't cope with all this I have spent two days reading this thread every single post on all 60 odd pages since falling under the spell of the UGG and I am completely and utterly confused all over again.
One page I think yes I shall have chestnut longs but which size then yes I know the size, then ooh nooo must get chocolate ones they are more likely to be real and then which website and I am changing my mind all the time. I went into town today to try some on in Sole Trader and oooh sooo nice will deffo order when I get home from AD. Just about to when I read more posts about height and still not convinced Aaargh what shall I do????
Do i really want to go back over all the posts to find other recommended retailers hmmm..... hubby is getting cross I keep getting - just order the b****y things!!!!! bellowed up the stairs lol!

Hi Emmylou

It's a mindfield out there, I know!
I ordered tall black Ugg's from AD some time ago, but I am unsure as to their authenticity, to be honest. They look very good but they're thin sheepskin and don't feel like those below:

Since then I have ordered from www.uggaustralia.com (tip: go via their US site by googling Deckers Outdoor corp. and buy in US dollars. So much cheaper! They only allow you to do this once from any ISP address, so use another computer for a second/third time).
BUT then I found these guys
www.hartings.co.nz
:D
They sell GENUINE UGGS (i.e. made by Deckers Outdoors Corp.). I know this since I bought a pair of short chestnuts from uggaustralia site and then ordered tall chocolate from Hartings which arrived on Saturday. I was able then to compare them side by side and they ARE the genuine article.
Prices:
classic tall £109.95 (retail £170)
classic short £89.95 (retail £140).

Postage is free and theire was no cost associated with customs or excise at this end. The price you see is the price you pay - or it was for me, in any case.

Highly recommended - I will go back there again.
Good luck and let me know how you get on!!

I know what you mean, I drove past the school last week and nearly every teenage girl I saw was wearing a pair!!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one that was trying to look at their heels to see who had "genuine" UGG's and who had bought them off the market :o :rotfl:

I've now decided to buy a pair of Canterbury supertred's for £75 so I can be confident of wearing a good solid boot throughout winter and not just as a fashion accessory :p;):D

That whole heel thing is terrible  the actual boot is on the floor. Our UGGs wont do that, i wear mine loads and they are fine.

I know teenagers wear them but my feet are warm and comfortable so I dont care, they make an outfit better than a pair of trainers.
