  • I ordered a pair from aussiedirect on tuesday, and ordered Ups express delivery, I haven't heard anything yet, not even a tracker number and thought they might be with me by now. Have emailed and PMed and heard nothing.

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The chocolate ones definately look a much better quality/finish than the other two. The stitching above the binding is neat and tidy. On the chestnut pair it looks like the binding has glue around it where it meets the sole. The patterns on the sole have larger sunbursts on the chestnut and black. Where the two 'r's meet the spacing is wider. Loads of other subtle differences if you look carefully. Does this mean they are fake?? Who knows anymore.
  • They're not 'perfect' as there are differences between the 2.

But then there would be for reasons already done to death!

For me, they're not fake and I can't understand (fully) why someone wanting the chocolate's would go somewhere else and pay more.

I do understand those who want a pair of 'made in China' non-choc Uggs though but there really isn't a huge difference (biggest being for me the badge is slightly smaller on the non-chocs) and I'm pretty sure they're not fakes so it's down to you whether to pay the extra £20 or whatever it is and get them from somewhere else....

Btw, the chestnut's show up a lot more imperfections because, well they're lighter. Just pop down to your local shop and see.

I got black classic tall Uggs from Australia Direct after reading on here. They cam a couple of weeks ago and I am really happy with them. I am sure they are real. They are exactly the same as the ones my friend has from Office. Mines have a "made in Australia" label in the inside. I am not sure what the label on the ones from Office says as my friend cut it off and can't remember. They are the comfiest boots I have ever owned though! here are some pics (after 2 weeks of constant wear!)

I posted earlier on in the thread that my Canterbury boots were far better quality than UGG or Kiwi sheepskins and when I clicked on the Hartings site I saw that they sell Canterbury boots and also provide an interesting bit of information ...
    http://www.hartings.co.nz/canterbury_footwear.asp

Canterbury have two brands, one cheaper than the actual Canterbury label and they manufacture boots for Deckers. So I'm taking a guess that they make cheaper boots for Deckers than for their own brand. And Deckers get to charge £100 extra for sticking their little label on the heel.
Following this thread has been better than watching a soap opera :rotfl:
hi, i've just looked at the canterbury boots on hartings website and they look o.k, i bought the aussie direct chestnut uggs but am not happy with them so am now looking for a replacement. I really like uggs but not so keen on prices, so have decided that if i can get a cheaper pair with the same quality and comfort i'm happy, it's a bonus if they have some sort of label on the back so at least i don't look like i'm wearing cheapy ones when i've paid good money for them, i don't usually spend alot on anything (like a good bargain) but thought i'd treat myself to abit of comfort and luxury for once for the cold morning school runs. Do the canterbury boots fit the same as the ugg ones, i need a size 6 (U.K) in uggs and they fit quite snug but comfortable, wouldn't want to have to return for exchange, and are they as fluffy and comfy as uggs? i've also been looking at Justsheepskin.com, and tried them on in Binns, they are exactly like uggs,£95 for tall ones and much easier returns if there's a problem, just a quick trip to town, but the canterburys are only £65 but not sure whether to take a chance them or not, anyone got any feedback on them? think i'll stop rambling now and boring you all, go and make a hot chocolate:D

For those of you that are happy with ugg style boots, rather than uggs australia, why don't you take a look in M&S and Next both of whom are selling them. They are likely to be good quality from these shops too.
