There is a difference. This is the back of my friends boots.

and the back of my 2 pairs new and old ones

I see what you mean about the difference. It's so confusing. I spoke to someone at Deckers (M'cedes?)and she did say that they supplied Australian made boots to aussiedirect still though. Perhaps this is why there is a difference as they are being produced in different places?
Not sure what to say really although I am happy with my boots.0 -
Just wanted to say though, that despite my concern about the colour of the insole and the height I am happy with them, they have the chunkier heel etc and the more I study them the more I think they are genuine.
I think the differences occur because of production. Im a toy collector, and a chinese star wars figure is almost always different to an english one.
I even sat last night counting the sole grips and comparing them!!! Cant find a difference.0 -

My sole grips are different too.
I have had no reply from aussiedirect, i sent emails to 3 different addys. :mad:0 -
You comparing them to the 2 year old boots or the made in china ones?
I've received shipping confirmation for another 2 pairs we ordered (black and chestnut) so should be here in two days.
I really think Martin should add that there's a difference in all non-chocolate boots to the ones currently on sale here in his original post though. Would help save dissapointed customers like Mookie, and save the rest from a tizzle that they're fakes :cool:0 -
don't know why they don't just call them UGLY boots and be done with it as that's what they are! lol

If anyone is desperate for UGGs in the N.West, I went to Stockport yesterday & bought a pair from "Jakes shoe shop" (they also have a shop in M'cr in the Arndale Centre). They had kids short in sand, chestnut & chocolate £85, & tall in all the colours £120. They also had adults I only saw the price of the short £85, but again they had all colours.
I know they are not as cheap as aussie direct etc, but they are from a local shop, which can be returned if any problems.
I did hear when I was in the Trafford Centre last week that the shops are selling out of the smaller sizes 5 & 6 & won't be having any more in until Jan.0 -
Do you think it's safe to buy the Sand colour ones or should I buy them locally for £170
