Freezers sorted out now, stuff back in the right ones and tidy ready for tomorrow. I don't know why I hate defrosting it so much, it doesn't take long really.
Looking like rain now, although it's not forecast for us, must keep an eye on the washing.0 -

OH wants to get 'snack' food which I'm kinda cringeing at~the online shop didn't cover the things he wants, but hopefully we won't have to spend too much when we go out! I also need to pick up a chicken-I prefer buying and choosing them myself, rather than ordering them!
We also will do some more clearing of the spare room as I hope to go to the tip tomorrow.

Thanks for all the comments and advise about the wedding photos. I found a website with a list of the "usual" wedding photos and sent that to her to get her to tell me the ones that she wants. Unfortuately or is that fortunately it's a registry office wedding, and you can't take photos during the ceremony. Mostly she wants informal ones, so that shouldn't be a problem for me to get, especially given the number of photos that I usually take. Though I'm quite tempted to sneak in a few "staged" type ones.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0

Hi all,
I've not been doing much flying lately as work has been manic and spent a few days last week working until gone 10pm. Also great aunt has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and has not got long left so been spending time with family when not working. Tenancy is up and got to move in two weeks and have now started packing so the house looks like a warehouse. Not found anywhere to go yet either. Viewed a couple of properties but the only suitable house we viewed someone put deposit down before we even got back from viewing it.
Shirley - we had two photographers as my husband's friend did some for us as a wedding present. We had the normal formal colour ones and we had some black and whites done. The black and white ones were done by DH's friend and we never saw him take them, they were the best ones because he took them whilst we were waiting for the other photographer to ready himself between pictures, so they are really natural. The best thing about them is that he got quite a few where we were laughing with friends and family, which is brilliant. They better show how much fun we had on the day.0 -
So far I have:
Tidied the living room.
hoovered
dusted (sawdust EVERWHERE!)
cleaned window sil
cleaned lights and light switches
S&S the kitchen
cleaned toilet (an every day thing in this house)
made butternut squash soup for lunch. (little one LOVES it!)
Left to do:
WM
TD (yes raining here in Holland)
folding
ironing (though not sure if I will today)
cook the dinner (roast chicken today)
but for now: time to pick up the girls from school.

Pen pen - I guess you blanche the beans - what do you do with the sweetcorn - I need to do these jobs too. I am not very good at knowing when to pick the sweet corn - any tips? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

My sweetcorn is in a polytunnel, and is perfect now. It's ready when the tassels start to turn brown.
I peel away the outer husk, and cut the cobs into 2 or 3 pieces (sturdy chopping board, big veg knife, and push hard with the heel of my hand). I then blanche for about 2mins. When defrosted they only take 1min in the microwave.
