Glad you had a good first day cha97michelle and that it wasn't too heart-wrenching. When do you start back permanently? Shame you couldn't get into your classroom.

tracy I've been having headaches a lot recently and feeling sick - I think it might be the weather for me, as I seem to be affected by low air pressure. Either that or the cleaning is making us ill ;) .

I'm doing the same nicki - catching up on all of the things I didn't do last week, so I'm not really getting ahead, I'm really behind.

Well, should really go and get on with the hob, and that dusty bedroom. :(

Just had something spooky happen. Phone just went and it was someone asking for where i work? They checked the phone number they used, which was mine but it is nothing like works number. I hate things like that, its gonna bug me so I will have to bug DH about it all night.

Just checked and they rang from a mobile, so it cannot have anything to do with the job I applied for this morning.

    Quick update

    Have hoovered through
Scrubbed bath and S & S rest of bathroom
Made pie filling (must make pastry next)
Wanted to bang the littles heads together about 5 times (but have resisted so far lol!)
    Done lunch dishes
    Amended tesco order
    Salsacise DVD - 20 min dance-out

    Still need to

    Make pastry
    Prep veg for tea
Make curry with rest of left over chicken
Phone about another job I have seen advertised

This phonecall thing is bugging me

I hate things that don't seem to have any logical explanation shell.

I also hate it when the dog gets one of her toys and stands at the bottom of the stairs looking up and wagging her tail. And I know there is no-one up there......
  • Hi folks,

Gosh - I've just caught up with all the posts as this is the first time I've been able to get on-line since yesterday lunch-time.

Anyway, I'm in again this week. I've done most of the kitchen (including fixing the pan-drawer which wouldn't shut properly and was bugging me!) and I've got some bicarb paste soaking on the oven floor and walls. I'm hoping it'll have soaked in so I can give the oven a good go in the morning.

I hope everyone is doing ok and hugs to those who need them.

PS Question for the hen-keepers amongst us: any bright ideas how I can persuade our older hen not to go mad (squawking and clucking at the top of her voice for up to 45 minutes) when she wants to get into the nest box to lay an egg, but it's already occupied by one of the newbies. I'm worried one of the neighbours will complain about the noise - because it's certainly driving me nuts!

sexymouse - am loving the idea of noting down the post number - I am forever scrolling through pages and pages trying to find my lists LOL

pigpen hope neck back and anything else eases up soon, amazing what some ibuprofen can do for pain like that. What are turboloister files (I suspect these hold the answer to how you have so much stuff shifted through ebay). I really want to get a load of stuff on for Wednesday but not sure if I can face it because any time I list anything I seem to be mega slow. Do you put reserve prices on or not bother ? I am also wary of making like pennies on stuff making it just not worth the aggro or the sellotape!

michelle - well done you for being brave and glad charlie had a nice time! and of course you can do it, it will feel a bit treadmill like but its nice to have a change of scenery from home I always found and to have some extra cash of course!

I am quit epleased with how much I have done today. Had a rubbish nights sleep last night. Went to be 11.30 ish so too late really, and then DS was his usual troublesome self. Was whingeing crying til 1 (am now having deju vu did I type this up earlier already ????) anyway, I was in and out a couple of times to him, and I think he may have moaned in the night too. Anyway I was up for the loo after that at least 4 TIMES    Guess its good practice for when baby here but I am soooo tired and of course like nicki was it (?) we are getting in practice for earlier school starts starting today so have been up earlier than normal.

Took kids swimming, they had a brilliant time, then stayed up there for packed lunch with friends and then did a load of errands on the way home including picking up prescription for more gaviscon for pesky heartburn :T

And lil_me and others you will be pleased to hear I have just done my first Asda online shop :j It is going to be delivered tomorrow night 7-9 - hubby will be home so he can carry it into kitchen , all I have to do is put it away (which I love doing, sad arent I). I got lots of extras like DW tabs and WM tabs since someone else is lugging it about for me.

I know its awful but I am going to have 40 winks before I start their tea, DD still asleep upstairs - she is great tho, she would waken at 6, eat tea and go down agai for 7, she loves her bed (just like me). I can barely lift my arms to type though I am so tired.

Anyway here's my update for the day, am done flying, kitchen wasnt too bad to begin with anyway and havent used dining room since last week so it can wait til next week too. Gotta go, baby doing the flipping bladder dance yet again

Pollybear that is soooo spooky, Mum and Dads dogs used to do things like that and it really used to freak me out, especially as it was old big victoria house.

Am resisting the urge to ring work and ask if anyone has phoned about me. I would have just assumed I had given someone my home number rather than work number whilst I was at work at the weekend but the only person I left a message for rang back on the Sunday.

Well pie made so best put it in the oven. Have just put a bit of slap on as need to pop to shop for littles hot choc after tea, DH will think his luck is in lol NOT!!!

JillD .. I write out the ebay listings on turbolister then upload loads at once it is so much quicker than doing them individually. I have the start price as the minimum I'll accept, if they sell they sell if they don't I'll relist them once or twice then charity shop them.. unless they are really good then I save them a few months and try them again. I have some new stuff to add this time which I never got to listing last week... nothing like coming home from holiday to 1200 emails lol.

I've got the fabric out for the curtains for the middle room now.. can't find my rolls of header tape though.. oh. just remembered where it is I think!

Off to take Henry for a walk now and check the washing in the dryer and my packing.. the children have been getting their own stuff so that should be interesting!
