morning ! Hope evceryone is on good form today, hugs to those in need.

My day going well today, this morning was first morning of my getting up earlier to get us used to early starts for school (and baby!). Alarm went off 7.30 and whats more I got up. Kids and I were dressed and at the breakfast table by 8.15. Hubby was still in bed (he is so bad n the mornings but probably better out of the way anyway). I feel rough though, DS was whingeing and carrying on til 1am. Anyway we need to bring it forward to 7am but will give us a week or two of getting used to 7.30 start first. Leaving in 5 mins to take kids swimming, will catch up on everyone's mornings later.

    My floor is in!!!

    WHOOHOOO!!!
I am well chuffed indeed! It is looking absolutely lovely!!

We worked really hard all day yesterday, and aside from a few little details the job is DONE!

I was getting all teary eyed yesterday, it's looking SO nice!!

So today I am only giving the kitchen a swish and swipe, and will ben busy with tidying up the living room. Loads of little 'stuff' now to be tidied up. Its amazing what you come across when you shift everything to put in a new floor! :rotfl:
It has also shown me parts that I do need to clean more often! (like the central heating radiators!!)

This morning I had a friend come over for a visit, and I've just had something to eat. Little squirt is now watching tv for a bit, so off I go!!

    Congratulation Becca!

Wish my floor in the kitchen was in - it would make it so much easier to clean as at the mo we have an uneven floor as some of the old tiles have cracked, and there is one area that is just concrete still where we took out our old units. The floor needs to be sealed then levelled before we can put our nice wood plank effect vinyl down. Must see if I can convince OH to do the painting on Friday, cos once that is done, he can get the person in to do the floor and the kitchen will finally be finished after 2.5 years!

Pigpen - have you tried your GP  I had something similar last year (caused by stress of lots of things happening at once  ). She prescribed some anti-inflamatories, which started working within hours.

Oh I know just what you mean. It's the same as here.. we want to do this, but can't until this other thing is done first, and we can't do that until .....

That is how come I have nagged for over 3 years before we finally came around to this new floor! So there is hope for you yet! :D

I find that when things need fixing (like your floor, or my bathroom) i have almost no motivation to clean it. I don't want to clean cracked tiles, and I derrive no satisfaction from clean cracked tiles! :rotfl: It is so much nicer to keep stuff clean once I am happy with it.

I just can't stop looking at my floor! it is SO beautiful!! Wish I could find the cable for the camera so I could show you pictures.
I'm sure the effect on me will wear off some time in the future, but for now I just love it to pieces and don't want anything spilled! I remember when my kitchen was first put in, I vowed to always keep it nice at ALL times.

    ahum...

Pigpen, I hope you feel better soon my dear, there's nothing worse than being in pain and having a million things to do!

Maybe you should go see your GP as suggested!

Becca I am jealous, I want a new kitchen floor and I want it NOW!

Ours still seems to be drying out after the flooding problem we had in July  When we realised the problem I figure it had been mounting for months prior so it stands to reason that it will take a while to dry properly but I can be a very impatient so and so!
