I took it out in January 2014.honetlooker wrote: »My original post was regarding personal loan (unsecured loan)
Mortgage is entirely different, You can have mortgage with say RBS and have hsbc account. it simply doesn't matter and i rang coop today, they said they have stopped giving new loans out to non-account holders since 2013, so i presume you took out your Coop loan before or in 2013 then."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0 -
i reckon you check their site again now. i was told they stopped in 2013, anyway the key thing is they've stopped it as the website clearly states, thanks for the comment however0

Honet - I had a look at Tesco and they state they do a next day courier service to get the loan papers back to them including on Saturdays for £50 (taken off your loan repayment).
If you do go with Hitachi, let us know the outcome

Guys,
*Quick update*
Applied to Hitachi and accepted
7k loan over 2 years with 4.4%APR and will only cost just over 300 quid in interest.
have also signed the agreement online too. It says they will issue funds within 48hrs
This is too good to be true, will keep my phone in my left hand all day0 -
Just a final update!!!
HITACHI PERSONAL FINANCE WERE A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME
loan was accepted online and I signed the agreement
then hours later I received email stating that they do not have enough information to make a decision and asking me to ring Hitachi.
I was confused, rang Hitachi and the staff said 'oh yea we do not have enough info to make a decision' but why did they tell me I was accepted in the first place and even provided me with agreement to sign.
Anyway I was passed to another department, they asked loads of question which i answered and thought everything was fine.
minutes later I got another email saying i had to send my payslip, at this point i was getting frustrated but i sent the recent one and headed to HSBC in town centre with all my document. They opened a current account for me there and then and also got accepted for a £7k loan which was deposited into the new account instantly, though I had to wait for the card and internet banking details to arrive days later before accessing the funds.
I rang Hitachi to cancel the loan application and i was told it will be cancelled however this morning they sent me another email asking to send a copy of my ID then the loan decision would be referred to the underwriters.
This company is a complete joke; i rang again to reiterate my decision to cancel the application and also sent them a letter this afternoon.
Silly company wonder if all their reviews were written by staff
