    Luck duly wished!

Thanks Peb - cleaned half the stove top and because of the pain of standing was promptly sick , if they are hoping to force me back into work I think they are on a losing streak (that was less than 5 mins of standing at the stove top!)

Okay been to the DWP - chap didn't understand why I needed to have an interview either! His recommendation is that I should stay on IB but it is up to Head Office - hen is going to write that I

    a) Cannot walk
    b) Cannot sit for more than 20 mins
    c) Cannot stand
    d) Have limited concentration due to Chronic Pain

See what happens now! He has given me his direct dial number though so if I do have another letter I can just phone him and he will do a phone interview rather than increasing my pain levels by forcing me into the offices.

Oh we also had fun when my ankle spasmed with pain and I went white, retched and nearly passed out

That's one way to get DLA Dragon - puking on the man's shoes:rotfl: I shouldn't laff as it is a serious matter, lets hope you can carry on with IB and get some DLA as well:D

I tried for DLA and apparently I am not disabled enough:rolleyes:

    Hi Horace

I already get the Higher Rate Mobility DLA as well as IB but due to the bar stewards that are currently in power they are "getting people back to work", in other words forcing people into jobs to get the unemployment/IB figures down. If someone in the corridors of power decides I can work then they can just stop the benefits and I have to start all over again with another claim! - he had to actually go through potential jobs with me!

Looks like you'll get to keep your claim so that's good news.No wonder you've been stressed.

Nothing is set in stone yet Taxi - the higher ups still need to agree with his assessment but I should hear something within the next week or so, maybe, possibly, could be longer - they can't possibly say

Any hoo tomorrow we have an appointment with a lawyer so that is Dr Dragon's case moving onwards and upwards as well!

Good for you with the lawyer..good luck with that.
  • Okay a quick update from the Dragon household. Lawyer duly seen and he is happy to help Dr Dragon out (well at a price obviously :rotfl:), he mentioned constructive dismissal and personal injury!! At the moment Dr Dragon just wants shot of them but needs to make sure we are not out of pocket out of all this!

In other news - I am paying all the bills  so most of my savings are now gone and £5k a year doesn't go far these days , I have had the TOTM from Hades (which cost a fortune in Feminine Protection!), I have broken a tooth (it is now like an iceberg - only 10% max above the gum line ), and I cannot really afford to get it sorted out (and it needs it - the gum is swelling and I am getting ulcers) until the Dr Dragon stuff is sorted out. Oh and the house is a sh*t tip!!! :D - hmm maybe I need to start making plans!

  • Good news about the lawyer, well apart from his bill.

Are you registered with a NHS dentist? Their prices are capped now so it might no be as bad as you think. Worth a checking as tooth ache is horrid.
