Okay mid week last week the weight was going well - I got down to 20 stone 10 pounds (aka 290 pounds or 131.5 kg), this morning I was back to 21-1 (295lb or 133.8 kg) - !!!!!!!! The only thing that has been different has been the intake of medication has increased again, so in the next month I need to

    a) lose a stone (14 pounds or 6.3 kg)

    b) get my BP down (losing weight and doing exercise will do that)

So plan of campaign is as follows

    1. Track everything I eat including weekends!

    2. Bring Yoga "stuff" downstairs and start easy stretches again

    3. Increase fruit and veg - find new and low fat veggie recipes.

    4. Follow Rosemary Conley again AND find out about the class in the village.

In other news - lurgy has pretty much gone - only the occasional cough, hence being able to do some stretches! Stress makes the pain worse (as does the rain) that is the reason for having to take medication - so as soon as everything is sorted with Dr Dragon everything should get easier! At least I am managing to over pay on my CC so that is something at any rate.

HI Dragon..medication can cause weight gain and although it's disappointing we still have to take it...both the tablets I'm on can cause weight gain so I'm going to be having the same battles as you in that respect.
Your plan sounds good though but don't do too much exercise and put yourself behind xx

Thanks Taxi - it turns out the Rosemary Conley class is in the Mem Hall across the road from me on a Thursday morning AND she will bring along resistance bands so that I can exercise sitting down :D - oh and it will finish just in time for me to get home, get changed and get to the pub for lunch :rotfl:

Oh and I have a voucher to sign up for free!

Not sure I want to weigh in this week (well I have weighed in but not sure I want to give the figures out!) *sigh* okay well here goes, due to lots of stress, not eating and medication my weight this week is (drum roll please!!)

    UP 6.5 flipping pounds!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

In case you can't tell I am not a happy Dragon!

So short of money or not I may be going to the Rosemary Conley class (hmm wonder if I can get a reduction on the cost as I already have the book they use?!)

I can remember doing Rosemary Conley once - sure the first week was fab and I lost 5lbs but it soon went back again, in fact with her diet I ended up eating less and getting fatter:eek:

Try eating little and often - eating less makes your body go into starvation mode and whatever you do eat gets converted into fat. Now I try to eat little and often - I don't have scales in my flat so I cannot see how fat or thin I am:rolleyes:

Try not to be so hard on yourself Dragon.
  • I like RC, but prefer to have a lot of flexibility in my diet. Hope you are ok Dragon it will take time and i like Horace's suggestion of eating little and often to boost your metabolism.
