i am wondering whether you would have done better turning a heel under the influence of alcofrol or not???
I like knitting but wouldn't consider knitting socks i have to admit.
Are you near Cambridge? Reading that you went there i thought 'oh she'd can't live too far from me' but you may have gone for a special trip.

I live in a village about 5 miles out :D

a bit closer than me, but not too far when you consider most things in east anglia are a 'bit' of a drive away.

Thanks BOB, actually I was enjoying knitting the sock until I got to the heel :o, we decided against "Turning a heel 101" in the pub as we go away this weekend and I would have forgotten what she told me by the time we got back :rotfl:, especially as I was under the afluence of incahol at the time :D. So drat and darn an afternoon in another pub learning the intricacies it is ;)

I have been keeping up with diaries but not posting an awful lot - sorry about that!

I am a bit like that with the knitting of cardigans, i am an awful finisher and have lots of knitted things to prove it...think i still have a cardi i started when i was 14:o Finished a scarf once though:D

pssst i don't get hangovers either....except off champagne;)

I'm lucky that I can walk to ours - corner of the market square is the pub, next door the shop, next door to that the Post Office!

Well I'm back from Wales, got some Crewel Work done, completed (with Dr Dragon) and evil jigsaw, and possibly contracted Swine Flu

Hope to spend the next few days recuperating and sorting out how to debt bust!
