The only people who can remove the default are the people who put it there. You need to write to BT.
If you did owe the money though, and you did miss payments on a contract for an email address, you're going to be extremely hard pushed to get it removed. They have a duty to report facts to the credit agencies, and will not remove a genuine default as a gesture of goodwill.0 -
