If sainsburys delivered to Australia, I'd have been all over that too :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I,m with Mr Singleton with preference combo - but like to Ald! grannie - I like Gin, and their OB is very good
DH bought me a bottle of BS on offer in Sainsbo for our anniversary - sadly its evaporated..........Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
ooo gin. I could become addicted but I am not, I limit myself so it makes a g and t extra special. I love tanqueray 10 and fever few tonic. Costs under £2 a drink and that isn`t much for a drink at home, maybe once a week. My chocolate for the week costs me more than that0

I have a rather large collection of gin...
Favourites include:
Juniper Green, Citadelle, Hendricks, 6 o'clock and Twisted Nose (a little different). Fever Tree tonic is good (particularly the naturally sweet one) as is 6 o'clock (difficult to get), but I've been pleasantly surprised by Waitrose Essential and I'd recommend anyone who is really keen on their G&T to give it a try.0 -

Tesco Value was deemed to have the best taste.
Gloomendoom Thanks! Will give that a try, as there's a Tesco nearby.
greenbee The Aldi in the next town used to be a Waitrose!
I totally agree it's well worth paying for a really good brand of both gin and tonic, but just don't happen to have the price of a good branded one to spare atm. I can probably bear to go without in the meantime though
You know how, in UK, when it's coming up to Christmas the supermarkets tend to have offers on wines and spirits? My brother lives in Germany atm and says it's quite the opposite there; when Christmas is coming up, all the cheaper brands and own brands are taken off the shelves, and only the dearer ones are available. Though I suppose that may be just in the area where he lives.0 -
I think the Aldi gin tastes more like Gordons-which I prefer-so if you are a Bombay sapphire lover you may not like it as much.
The best gin I've tasted is Adnams but it's more expensive0 -
Which Adnams one? I didn't like the Copper House one much, although it's good with orange...0

I do love a G&T and Bombay is a treat, but I rarely drink much at all now, so a bottle lasts quite a long time. I have a got stash of red wine in store at the moment, so a glass of that on a Saturday night is my treat of the week as I then don't drive until late on Sunday afternoon. I would never drive the morning after a drink in case I still had some in my bloodstream.I drove for a living for 22 years and saw what drink driving can do to people. I won't even sit as a passenger in a car where the driver has been drinking I value my life too much0

Yes it is the Copper house one that I like but with tonic not orange. Haven't had gin and orange for years. My aunts used to drink it when I was a child and they would let me have a taste.
We did try another gin when we visited an Adnams shop but neither DD or I liked it as much.I can't remember what it was called but it was more expensive than the Copper House.0
