I saw a poster the other day which said "It's the cat's house, I just pay the mortgage" :rotfl::rotfl:

    Love it :D

The cat has decided the new mattress is acceptable and is back in his usual morning spot.

Debating whether to ask DS for a bottle of Bombay Sapphire (gin) for my birthday next month, as I've drunk the old bottle (don't worry, it took me well over a year!). He usually gets me a book token or a Waterstones voucher, but atm I've only got Lidl gin, which isn't dreadful but isn't nearly as smooth as the posh one :D

That's interesting. Bombay is my favourite tipple, it would be good to find a cheaper one that is as good.

Mrs G did a blind taste test with a friend who is a gin aficionado. Gordon's, Bombay Saphire and Tesco value were compared.

Tesco Value was deemed to have the best taste.

Waitrose Essential Tonic is very good too.

I assume that you mean Bombay Sapphire. Sainsbury's recently had it on offer for £18/ltr which compares very favourably to the no-name Aldi/Lidl gins.

Unless your speaking to an alcoholic a double G&T every so often isn't a great expense so why be mean?. Bombay Sapphire with Fever Tree tonic you know it makes sense! :)
  • Yes I took advantage of the sainsbury offer......:rotfl:
