Your favourite ever car that you've owned

I've only ever owned two cars; a Rover Metro and a Ford Fiesta LX (from 2002).
The Ford has been very good to me but it's getting to the point any repairs (even shopping around) will end up costing more than the car is worth. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
MG ZT V6, Not the fastest thing in the world, but the handling was great (for the driver, it was pretty firm for the passengers), whilst still having a big boot and room for 5 people.0

I have two, from opposite ends of the scale.
'Best' car in absolute terms was a Range Rover P38A with a 4.6 V8. Comfortable, reassuring, immensely capable. It did everything from setting out and test-driving an off-road trials course which later stopped some modified Land Rovers in their tracks, to towing a caravan across Europe with the least drama of any car I know. Amazingly, any issues I had were minor and easily DIY fixed. In the end, the thought of all those complex systems getting older and older, and the fact of 16 mpg on a good day, made me lose my nerve and sell it. But as an all-round vehicle, nothing came close.
The car I have the most affection for was my 2CV6. It was the only car I have crashed in (wrote the other car off, we walked away unharmed, and a week later it was back on the road with a new floorpan and a few cosmetic bits). It lasted me through several East Yorkshire winters, where I was the only one in my organisation who never failed to get to work in the snow. And then it took me and my then-wife to Tuscany and back on a six-week camping tour, roof rolled back, windows flipped up and a lot of smiles. An endearing and infuriating car, which was not problem-free, but I forgave it everything. I'd have another one tomorrow. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Mini's (lots of them and proper ones not a fake one sold by BMW)
Lots of fun and you used to be able to pick then up cheaply. Stick a few mods onto them and flog them on for a profit.
Metro's, well they worked and were very cheap. Trip from Dover to the Midlands with the speedo and rev counter off the dials. Why didnt it blow up?
Rover SD1's i had a few also, V8 with the slushbox, just waft along, but fuel was cheap then.
Oddly i had a 2.5 V6 Rover 800 (honda engine) after and i drove that like a hot hatch, why? Gave Escort Turbo's a good run for their money and i had a much better top speed.
Lots of stuff inbetween also.. but my worst an MG BGT, dreadful awful, neede fixing everytime i wanted to use it.
My favourite is going to be a MINI... (a proper one)Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I think that it has to be my current Jag XJ8..... Had it over 13 years now so that says something. Mostly used in wafting mode but it's great for overtaking and the occasional traffic lights Grand Prix.0

Subaru Forester STI, brilliant fun to drive especially in the snow.0

I've owned 30+ cars in the 52 years I have been driving. My favourite was a Mitsi Lancer - very quick indeed, but scared me to death. Least favourite was a Renault 4 - one of the early 6 volt ones and a horrible little car.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Honda Del Sol with electric trans top and 160 bhp Vtec, sold for pennies as was told that I couldn't export it to North Cyprus where I moved to ( later found out that I could have done !!! ).0
