Thanks Penguin, I keep telling myself that everything will be fine and i will learn quickly. I think when you try for so long to get pregnant and end up having fertility treatment you are so concentrated on getting pregnant that you forget that the end result is a baby.
I know that prob sounds silly as that is the whole point of the treatment but i dont think my brain let me link the two together as it was just so hard to get pregnant in the first place. I think its only the last couple of weeks that it has all really started to sink in.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Lunar I was exactly the same as Penguin - I'd never even held a baby until Adam was born. When he appeared, they went to hand him to me, and I looked at the midwife as if to say "what, you want ME to take it?"!!! And I still haven't really a clue now with Greg at 5 months, but you just muddle through. You're so totally dedicated to this baby that you'll be absolutely fantastic.
Whenever I was feeling like a crap mother, I'd think of the 16yr old girls you see drunk, hanging around outside the kebab shop at midnight with their poor little babies in Burberry prams. I'd look at mine all snug in his Grobag and feel like the best mother in the world. You'll be fab!0 -
Hope you are getting on well Hayley, im sure you are more organised than i am. Chocaholic, ill be lucky if i manage to keep things tidy until he is born. my oh is just so messy!
If you saw my house you would have a shock LOL; it is still a disaster zone. OH is painting the nursery today. We have his parents coming tommorrow and I have an important day at work tommorrow. Nightmare!!
I wonder which one of us will have the baby first? I was happy yesterday as she has finally turned the right way! I think I finish work around the same time as you, 12th September?

I finish the same day as you, my little man is also now head down. I think you are due a few days before me. Im really counting down the time at work now, im just getting so tired. Hopefully you are only supervising the decorating.
I know what you mean about the 16 year old mothers panda, the ones that i see outside the hospital smoking! At least i know ill do a better job than that.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
It is definitely tiring. My last two weeks include a number of important meetings and will probably be fairly intense so I'll join you on counting the days! My OH is actually being a total sweetie and doing the majority of things round the house full stop, which is a big relief!
We will both just have to hang on in there and it will be worth it in the end!
I have just for the first time read your whole diary. You have been so brave. Huge congratulations, he is one special baby.

I'm so excited for both of you. I don't want any more kids as I can barely cope with the two I've got, but there's something about being pregnant and having a baby that just makes me want another and another.
Wonder which one of you will pop first?!0 -
Hayley, hope my diary didnt bore you too much, im really glad i started it though. I just cant believe how much things have changed in the last year for me. There is no way i could have guessed last year that i would be in this position now.
Are you sure you wont have any more panda, sounds like you could be tempted in a year or so......
Ive been keeping up my daily payments, really need to update my total, i love seeing it on the statement. I have also been accecpted for a platinum barclay card at 0% for one year so i wont loose my 0% when the natwest offer runs out.
Ive been making my dinners so not been spending anything at work, i have done a bit of splurging on baby things though!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
No spend day for me today, apart from my daily payment to my nat west card which im not counting. Its pay day tomorrow and i still have money in the bank. I will be using the left over wage to get the last of the baby things i need.
I have completly cleared out the house now so i can get startedon the nursery this weekend. my oh has painted it for me and wil move the furniture around so i really just have the nice bits of it to attend to.
I have been posting bits ive sold on ebay most days and am still adding at least one item every day. i will transfer the money from paypal as soon as there is £100 in there. im up to £80 so far.

Just made a £100 overpayment to the egg loan, ill overpay more later in the month but when it clears it will take the egg total under £6000.
7 weeks to go until my baby boy arrives. Im starting to feel completly unprepared for everything. I got a georgeous gift from work today, baby einstein neptune play gym. one friend also gave me a big basket of johnsons products and pampers nappies. Im sure he owns more things than i do now!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
7 weeks! That's not long at all, is it? You're doing really well to be making overpayments at the moment with all that you've got going on.
Brilliant result getting the 0% card!0
