Lol, well I was going to say what I thought but Snaggles has pretty much beaten me to it...lots of sound advice there and another advocate of tesco nappies and Grobags here.
Shame you weren't nearer me - I have a bouncy chair, bath and top 'n' tail bowl ready to freecycle and I already gave away the moses basket.
As to what to buy it probably depends upon the baby - Tom hates his swing but lots of people I know say their baby goes to sleep in one; he's also not keen on the jumparoo just yet (but his feet don't reach the floor) and he's never liked the baby bouncer chair or the bumbo. He's always liked the baby gym though and the door bouncer is very popular at the moment - in fact anything he can be very active in. the cot mobile has been brilliant - it plays three tunes and we use the same one each night at bedtime. If he wakes up during the night I just press the remote control for it to set it away and he goes back to sleep. (When I had DS I had to get up and wind up the cot mobile to make it go!!)0 -

Hi Chocaholic, hows things with Tom, i cant believe how quickly time is ticking on this year, is he over 5 months now? Your christmas totals in your sig are putting me to shame, I have got some vouchers, points and pay pal money but i havnt been any where near as comitted to it as i could have been. I have been picking up some bits in the sales since they started though. Have you actually started shopping yet?
Cheaps, ill have to take a look at your diary, I absolutly love disney world and cant wait to take my little boy in a few years time. Sometimes that debt busting really gets you down, doesnt it. I think im having a bit of a positive time at the moment but have just come out of a bit of a slump with it. We will all get there eventually, I tell myself that in the lower times.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
OOPS spent money on lunch at work today, £3.50. Ive just done an online shop today to make sure i have enough food in to make us lunches next week. I used a code to get the delivery for free and this way i wont be tempted to buy things i dont actually need if i went to the supermarket.
I have managed to list 5 more items on ebay today, and ive got a few more bids on the things i listed the other day.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
well my first lot of ebay items have finished. They should have made just over £60 by the time ive paid all the fees so ill get that money paid off my egg loan as soon as it is all in my account.
Ordered my nurseyf furniture yesterday. im really excited for it to arrive and i can start setting up my nursery. managed to get it in the argos sales so didnt do too bad price wise.
Ive managed to take lunch to work monday and tuesday, and ive just made some pasta for tomorrow and thursday. I have had to spend some money on some matermity trousers as i dont have any that fit now! I did discover that new look have started a maternity range and got 2 pairs in the sale for £10! Also picked up some nappies with a discount voucher i got from a friend for boots.
Im really looking forward to my holiday next week, im so ready for a break from work, not too many left i guess before ill be off for a year so i shouldnt complain.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
managed a no spend day today, hopefully i wont spend anything till i go away next week. Im going to pay my change jar into the bank this week as its pretty full. ive been collecting it since i first joined to site so am looking forward to counting it up.
This is the nursery set i have ordered, what do people think to the price, its £569 including delivery and assembley and it also includes the glider and stool so i didnt think it was a bad deal.

mum gave me £250 towards it and my OH paid the rest! so ive still got plenty set aside to get the rest of the things i need.
I was going to make an overpayment of £100 onto my egg loan seen as i didnt have to pay for this lot but when i logged in to my account its all messed up because i made two overpayments close to my direct debit date and its confused them. the guy i spoke to has sorted it out but has advised me to wait a few days to make the extra payment.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Not been doing too bad with my spending this month to say ive been on holiday! I still have to pay my ebay money off my egg loan and the extra £100 i put aside then i need to work out if i have any money left over to make any further overpayments this month. Took ages to get things sorted out with egg they were a complete nightmare with the overpayments from last month.
Off to check my spreadsheet and update my sig with new totals for this month.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0
