    A quick question...
How do you keep the really little ones warm as they can't yet have a duvet?
I have tried my baby with those gro-bag type things and she gets in a muddle cos she gets stuck trying to roll over  So at the mo she is wearing a vest, all-in-one, trousers and a pair of socks  And thats on top of a cot memory foam topper and a fleece blanket- its only august for Franks sake
Some years since I had mine, so not sure if they even have them now. But in winter I'd put a fleece all-in-one on top of their babygro. Some really cold nights and they'd wear a cotton t-shirt under the fleece as well as a vest and babygro :)

mine dont like casseroles done in the slow cooker either, until i did a chicken thing with soy sauce etc. and told them it was chinese!! another one i told them it was goulash. think of a fancy name and let them think it not a stew/casserole. worked a treat.

You can get an all in one fleece suit from primark, they still make them, from 3 months to 23 months. They are around £6 i think.

How old is the little one?

Thanks girls, he's 9 months... I know some people use pillows and duvets from 12 months for the babies but I'm scared :o

These are great, and they come with little non slip surfaces on the feet, in the bigger sizes. I remember my eldest wearing one of these 'til she was about 4, then because the body was still long enough. I just cut off the feet of that one, but it was a gift and had come from America, so it was a very generous size. I think I used to get them in poundstretcher at the time, don't know if they still do them though.

Mine had duvets from birth.. and many nights they were in a grobag as well with a long sleeve bodysuit and a sleepsuit. By 9 months they are strong enough to push off any unwanted covers.. and I am yet to see a baby wriggle down in the bed.. they always wriggle up to the top or turn sideways as the leg movements they do cannot actually propel them downwards.. that said.. none of mine EVER rolled over

You can actually get huge sizes of fleece all in ones. M&S do up to adult sizes! In the childrens range I think they go up to about age 10.. vertbaudet do big sizes too. BHS do bigger sizes.. my 7 year old has a few.. and mothercare do up to about age 10 too I think

Went to turn on my slow cooker and wondered why it was not lighting up when the control knob fell into three bits in my hand!!!!

The lid was getting wonky as the knob for that was also falling to bits so I have ordered a new MR 6.5 litre one from Amazon for £27 and free delivery.

It should have been around £40 so convinced DH it was a good buy.

I really use the slow cooker every day in winter to make soups or stew so do not want to be without it.

i was worried abotu puttign ym little boy wwith a duvet after all the suffocation horrors i use to read about but all i did was follow the feet to foot rule and he was fine - hes 4 years old now and has a habit for sleeping upside down in bed!

My son had one of those all in one sleep sack things and he use to look like a little monk wandering round the place but it kept him warm - only problem was midnight changes and leaky nappies - but he was fine - you could always use a fleece under his bottom sheet and a thick fleecy blanket on him then.

although got to add for his first year he was in teh sme rom as us - up to 6 months in moses basket and cot besides our bed , then we moved in with mother in law and he ahd to be next to our bed in his cot as we had nowhere else to put him!
    Time to find me again
