It's chiily, dark, damp and dreary here, I've put the heating for a short while to take the dampness away, no summer here.

I know what you mean it's been very chilly and damp here for the past few days.I'm sure I went to sleep for a few months and woke up in autumn even the light looks too dull for summer, never mind the temperatures and the winds.

You're right, the light is all "wrong" for summer. It's been bloomin' miserable here for a while now. We're right next to a golf course and it's amazing what weather people will go out in though - and the time they will get up for it. I've seen people there at 6.30am! I'm sure they sit up all night dressed with their golf bag at hand waiting for the sun to peep over the horizon:rotfl:

Foul weather in Wales too. I too was wondering if I'd hibernated through summer!

another welshie here and its tipping it down. Got absolutely drenched going to pick up little un. Not impressed. My little un has been asking for a hot chocolate all morning and asking me when Santas coming!

Have had boyfriend off the last few days so have managed to get bu$$er all of my winter proofing done although i think i am going to need it sooner than september/october now though (my original to get it all done date was for son going back to school in mid september) hate the idea that it will be all the really carppy rain then and we'll end up soaked on the way home, but i think I'll change it to the beginning of spetember now!
    Time to find me again

We have had one of the best days of the year so far - and I live in the northern isles!

Its funny, when you get good weather, we often have bad - and vice versa.

It's not often I get to be smug about the weather, but it seems today has a blue moon!

Hi everyone:) Very wet and cold and miserable here in N/Ireland too. My hubby and I came home from an outing yesterday afternoon and we found a pile of leaves from nearby trees in a row behind our gate, and lots of leaves wet all over the garden. It is horrible today too. We bought a lovely patio set in B&Q as well for only £55.18, so I hope it does get out of its packaging sometime this "summer". In the meantime I am knitting the little hats for the babies, using up all the leftover wool i have and it feels as if it is the autumn, with a warm rug over my knees too:) Ah well.........

Now folks - last year we had Summer in April, this year it was in May. You can't expect Summer to last for 4-5 months now can you?
