bubble wrap stuck with water on the panes of glass, works well and easy to remove in the summer :)

I've never heard of it sticking to windows by using water, do you have to wet the bubble wrap every so often or does it stay on until you pull it off the glass?

Stays put all winter, well it has done here for many years.
Remove it from my back door windows around march, roll up stuff in cupboard, then spend several hours looking for it again in September as I cant remember which cupboard/drawer its in!

Brilliant Annie! The bubble wrap we put up the conservatory and the bedroom last year with tape, and it's left sticky lines all round the frames, which we haven't been able to remove. :o

The bottom of my curtains go well below the top of my radiator. When it is cold I close the blinds but the curtains are too long to go behind the radiator so obviously there is no point closing the radiator behind the curtains. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Safety pin them up (as in creating a very deep hem ) so they can sit behind the rad, or if you dont want to put holes in them maybe the butterfly type hair clips would work.

Sticky lines round the frames can usually be removed with WD40. Guess how I know....

back to the fleeces, you could buy some and tuck them into the slatted blinds, maybe held up with safetypins,to make curtains infront of the pation blinds. Another way is to make a wooden screen and put that infront.

If I could I'd live in one room. In the winter. Move everything into the kitchen, sofa with duvet for sleeping on,and big fluffy pillows, and a potty! suitcase of clothes. Well Cosy.

I managed to get a double sized electric blanket for £2 at a boot fair and will be using it with a spare duvet for when i'm watching tv. I can't find who gave this winter warming tip but thank you..
