no, I must confess...... folders, plastic pockets, ring binders, you name it ....
You're doing well with your winter preps. :T
I'm making a couple of walter hottle bottle covers - got some cheap pretty fleece and will do one for each bottle... also had a tesco delivery today and got quite a few things for my winter storecupboard. I'm pretty much done I think. Bring it on!!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Right - here's what Ive done so far
I changed all the curtains over at the weekend, to my thick heavy duty winter curtains!
Stocked up on the gas pre-paid token meter through the summer, so the expense wont be to major this winter!
Changed all the quilts to thick togs.
Luck happens we got some solid pine heavy interior doors from freecycle, so busy replacing the cheap council ones we have in at present!
Dug out bed socks, fleece/flanelette pyjama's & slippers
Blankets at the ready on the beds ready to use up/downstairs
Winter coats out & washed
Wellies at the ready!
Wheat bags, to replace water bottles
Store cupboard stocked up, oats, cereal, flour, sugar, tins - incl soups.
Things to do,
replace cat flap as the flap is missing at present, due to the dog squeezing her head through and breaking it.
Replace outer porch door, as my out house has been converted to a utility room, and cause we use it often (ff, dw, wm, td are all stored there), we're letting heat in/out evertime the main door is opened
Sort through kids clothes, put away summer, and stock up with warmer items.
Buy de-icer, anti-freeze, scraper for the car
Ive heard we're in for a bad one this year! So for once, I aim to be prepared!
I have plenty of bubble wrap in, incase desperation sets in, and I have to use it aswell as blankets!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Frugal i bought those curtains from argos. i did think they were gonna be thin and cheap. but i'm really impressed. they are much thicker than i thought they would be and such good value. i highly recommend them.
i've still not found any fleece under blankets in morrison's. but i've started collecting tins of soups and lentils and thing's . i'm just in process today of making loads of soup for freezer.
we need to get our bedding sorted and get some blankets for our bed.
i have got a throw on each sofa folded up. so in evenings instead of using the heating we are snuggling under a throw. which is actually very romantic and nice. not got much else done tho.0 -

I noticed fleecy throws in Primark this morning, wine colour. £2. Didn't have time to look too closely, but they are cheap enough.
(Also had hot water bottles with fluffy cover for kids & applique on but can't remember what - also reasonable).
Sorry for sketchy info - was on my way to work and had to run.0 -
I got my dusty pink fluffy throw from primark, a couple of months ago, i think it was £3 or so.:money: I did see some similiar ones in home bargains as well.
I use it every evening. I have it on back on sofa during the day, then as soon as my pj's are on, I have the the blankie over me.
The only problem is that ds2 and our dog seem to love it to and are always try to steal it:D'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

Frugal , i bought my son a fleece blanket for his bed. It is huge have to fold it in half. cost £5. could of got a smaller one for £3, but it seemed very small. It really warm and snuggly.
i got it in QS . i bought a very pale blue. but they did have lots of other colour's.
i'm sure someone put a link up to fleece blanekts in matalan tho for £3. but they were stripes i think, in pink still.
i think i going to buy a couple more of the £5 ones for my bed.
i'm having my new back door fitted today. so should be alot warmer. going to buy a new door curtain tho. prob get the calico ones from argos.0
