JCR16 - LAST NIGHT I MANAGED THE FOLLOWING (BEARING IN MIND I WAS WATCHIGN X FACTOR AS MY FRIEND WAS IN THE FINAL 12 GROUPS - BUT THEY DIDNT MAKE IT ND I WANTED TO WATCH ANT AND ADEC AND JACK OSBOURNE ADRENALINE JUNKIE) 2....going to go through all bubs clothes and get a winter wardrobe ready...... 6....dig out all the fleece blankets and make sure they are clean........8....looking through mine and bf cupboards for winter clothes..............13. Will not turn the thermostat above 18 degrees unless absolutely neccessary.................14....Planning garden for next year - god damn it i will grow soem fresh veg if it kills me - had plans to this year but never got around to planting it etc so next year thats my challenge...............19....make a list of stock cupboard essentials. tins/pasta/ etc....................20....make some of bens old clothes into doggy haute couture thingys..........21....plan for winter freezer stock - soups mainly. 22....looked through bens clothes for things that dont fit anymore etc for them to be recycled on freecycle or charity shop...............24....bed spread to help keep heat in...................25....covers for sofas so they arent so chilly on the bum in the morning (they are leather!).........................27....start using my hallogen lamp more than my main lights to see if it saves electric as we always have the main lights on if we are doing anything.29....find out our hot water bottles for bed warming and keeping tootsies warm at the computer.......ALOT OF THE STUFF I WANTED TO DO INVOLVES BUYING BITS FIRST BUT I SORTED THROUGH ALL BENS CLOTHES AND GOT STUFF READY FOR THE DOGS CLOTHES, FOUND OUT JACKETS,COATS, FLEECE BLANKETS, BED SPREADS AND SOFA COVERS READY TO CLEAN SO THEY WILL BE GOING IN THE WASHING MACHINE LATER, ALSO ON RECOMMENDATION AM GOING TO SEE IF MY DUVET FITS IN THERE TOO AS THE SINGLE ONES ARE FOR THE BOYS SO THEY ARE ONLY LITTLE ONES I THINK. THEN ILL GET EITHER A NEW DOUBLE DUVET OR GO TO THE LAUNDRETTE IN THE WEEK AND CLEAN THE OLD ONE - FAILIGN THAT MIGHT GIVE THAT ONE TO THE DOG AS I NICE BIG SNUGGLY BED - ITS HORRID THE OLD DUVET - AND BUY A CHEAP NEW ONE FORM WILKINSONS. WAS THINKING OF BUYING A KING SIZE DUVET AS BF IS A BIT OF A QUILT HOGGER ON COLD NIGHTS.ALSO NEED TO FIND A GIANT TIN TO MAKE THE TEALIGHT STOVE FROM - ANY IDEAS??? MIGHT HAVE A LOOK IN TESCOS AND SEE IF THEY HAVE A GIANT BEAN/TOMATO CAN OR SOMETHING - ALWAYS USE THEM. WILL SPEND TIME TOMORROW CUTTING UP MATERIAL FOR RAG GARLANDS AND WILL DO THEM IN THE WEEK SEEING AS I HAVE FREE TIME WHEN BENS AT SCHOOL. PLUS THINK I MIHGT FOCUS ON GETTING SOTRE CUPBOARD TOGETHER - HAD A BRAIN WAVE TOO - I HAVE THOSE COLLAPSABLE STORAGE BOXES SO THINK I MIHGT ERECT A FEW OF THEM AND FILL THM WITH STORE CUPBOARD STUFF AND I HAVE A SPARE GAP IN THE KITCHEN THAT I COULD STACK THEM IN SO THEY CAN STAY IN THERE NEXT TO A GIANT BAG OF DOG FOOD THEN I CAN KEEP BASICS IN THEM. PLUS I HAVE A BT OF ON TOP OF CUPBOARD SPACE TOO ONCE IVE CLEARED THAT AWAY. RIGHT AM OFF TO MAKE FLAPJACKS NOW AND WRITE A WEEKLY SHOPPING LISTTime to find me again0

I bought a catering size tin of tomatoes from Morrisons £1.64 or something like that. I had asked in their cafe for an empty one, but was told they're not allowed to give them out because they have sharp edges!! Well, duh! More H&S madness, sending stuff to the tip instead of us making good use of it.
Like the idea of storing basics in the plastci crates, I have loads of them and will have 2 or 3 empty soon (decluttering!) so think I will use one for my tins, one for toiletries. Will give me more space in my cupboards, great idea, thanks Sammy! :T
... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

And Just Stock Up Like That - Might Even Do A Christmas Goodies Box Too.Time to find me again0

I have just bought curtains to keep in the heat - massive patio door size 90inch x 90inch for £22 - Argos - They are cream Calico (cotton).
They do lined ones in the same size but cotton/polyester for £38.99.
They do them in pencil pleat (normal top) or tab top - I prefer to use a track with pencil pleat as if you use a pole there is a gap where cold air can circulate.
Will be going back for another set so I can use them for 2 door curtains too
BARGAIN !!!0 -
my new lined curtains are up my new rug is down........ does this mean that i have at last made a start???
have just downloaded and printed a load of os recipies for hearty warming winter dishes just need to incorporate them into my menu plan now.
