Wow, how easily in this forum a simple question turns up in accusing me unfairly for various things.0

One wonders why you bother giving your custom to this place if you are so unhappy about the way they do business (or the way you think they do business)..0 -
My hairdressers works from home and only ever accepts cash - stopped using him now as I thought it was a bit wrong.0

The OP doesn't know this business is evading tax, just thinks so (based on not a lot, really).0 -
would you pay your window cleaner with a card? They don't give receipts unless asked (some businesses do ask for receipts as they can claim the tax back as maintenance)
Or the milkman? or the avon seller?? They all accept cash some will accept cheques too but not all.
They too all pay tax.. VAT registration is based on turnover, it used to be about £50,000 a year... I was under the impression that was increased though.
They will still be totting up the till every day and offsetting that against the food they had to buy to cook for you, staff wages etc..
You sound like you are being a knob tbh.. mind your own business and let them get on with theirs.. the government has enough money!.. they and these disgusting 'celebrities' should be the ones being reported for tax avoidance not some family building a business from nothing!.. go report your MP!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I'm not being negative - I said that you should have proof before reporting someone. I am not the only poster here to voice that same point.
Paranoid? Paranoid about what? I'm not the one seeing tax evaders running every take-away.
Unfairly accusing? Of what have I accused you? I said you should mind your own business unless you have proof.
Do you have proof that this business is not paying tax?
In your first post you asked:Helvetica75 wrote: »Is it possible that he doesn't pay the sales tax to the state? If yes, is there an anonymous place to report him?
Abusive? Where have I been abusive? Certainly not in the post of mine that you quoted.
I voiced my agreement with the actions of merrydance who voted with his/her feet.
I said you didn't know if this business was evading tax - and you don't know. Do you?0 -
What on earth does this have to do with Old-Style Moneysaving?
FWIW, unless youi have proof that this business owner is not paying tax - and you clearly don't - I think you should mind your own business.
That's abuse. HOW DO YOU EXPECT US to understand what you mean by old-style moneysaving or Greenfingered MoneySaving and all that bull titles that there is no way a plain guy can have a clue?0
