I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

whole thing or soundtrack to mp3 normally, edit afterwards if required.
Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand
  • Ok so I'm revisiting this thread because I was looking at the state of my bedroom today, with all the CD's and cassette tapes....

Do people really lose all their music nowadays for decluttering purposes, lol? I mean I never play any of it because I find it online while I'm on the internet. But something is telling me it's daft to give away or lose all those music cassette tapes that I bought years ago thinking I'd keep them forever.

What to do? Music cassette tapes won't ever be worth anything will they? No matter who the band is..

Thoughts are very welcome on this, I need space, and I'm in declutter mode again, lol

Now this dinosaur wants to know if it will take up much memory in the laptop.

I've got a real mental block about storing anything digitally, photos, music, videos, books (keep forgetting to read my kindle books!), BUT I'd love some of those you tube vids, nothing lasts forever and it would be good to have some of the clips if allowed to do that

no, an album in mp3 format is about 70-80Megabytes, a typical 500GB-1TB hard disk will hold every piece of music you're likely have time to listen to (tens of thousand of lps), and then some

  • I don't really play music from my computer. I listen to it on there when on the net, etc...so I won't miss the tapes and CD's now....but in the future?

This is going to sound really daft but in the future would I be buying a computer that would play all this music anyway? I think the answer is yes isn't it? lol

I know I'm probably asking very obvious questions here but I'm thinking I will move to a bigger place in time and I might want to listen to music when I'm not surfing the net...but I suppose I'll have a better computer then too that will play the stuff (I suppose the one I have now will)
