, but they are frustrating and time consuming for the genuine entrants
One or two other sites use them but not so often as winsomething do
I wish they could introduce a less time consuming deterrent

Doesn't make much difference time-wise to people who only enter a few but significantly increases their chances of winning if it stops automated entries
  • Can I ask how long it took to recieve your prize with bauer, as I won quite a bit of money 2 weeks ago on a radio station and I've not received anything yet..they said payment would be via bacs thanks

I had WTC on a Tuesday evening, and then on the Thursday morning a lad from the radio station came to my house with £2000 cash in a jiffy bag! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think the poster went for the bank account option and not the "Bag A Cash Surprise" one.
  • I won it on magic fm 925 competition, only option was for bacs
  • Believe it or not that was the first time I've ever entered a competion and I won first time lol beginners luck I guess..just wondered as the lady said it could take 28 days although it could be sooner..just wondered if that was the norm as I thought they gave you it straight away

Same as any business it probably depends how often their accounts department processes payments, if you just miss a payment run it could be closer to the 28 days (usually working days which can be about 5 weeks), almost immediately if you just catch one or anywhere inbetween.
  • Trying not to sound stupid, but a few weeks ago my name was called on the Magic 925 comp for £2000 but I didn't ring in on time so never claimed the money, so I'm right in thinking I shouldn't be excluded from future competitions? As I technically didn't win anything!?

That would seem right - if you didn't phone in you didn't win.
