Sorry if this has already been answered! If you win a prize worth over £500, are you allowed to still win prizes under £500? Or does it also include winning prizes which end up at a grand total of over £500? I.e. if you won three separate comps which added up to over £500, would that mean that you can't win anything else over £500 or is it only applicable to 1 prize over £500?

Sorry if I'm not making much sense. I'm exhausted!

No restriction with Bauer media on individual prizes under £500, doesn't matter if you have won a big one or not and there is no accumulating of the value of small ones.

With the group that includes Talksport you are not eligible to enter any of their competitions across the group for 12 months after winning any prize, Global inform you in writing if you are not allowed which can follow a single win of £1,000 plus or two wins of any size in a six month period.

I didn't realise this ban, but it was £100 I won 2 weeks ago with that's like so I am ok to keep entering, thanks for all the info :)
Thanks to all who post comps :)

  • Does this ban just apply to the Click to Wins? Or is it across all Bauer comps? I've just won £1,000 with Absolute Radio, which is fantastic, but I don't want to waste time entering comps I can't win. It's all too complicate for me! :D

In theory across all Bauer Media but as I posted on another thread even they don't seem to sure about the click to wins

    Thank you :)

As you seem to be Comp Time's best terms and conditions person (haha), can I ask you another one please? The Bauer / H Bauer business, do the separate T&C's for each site still hold on the CTWs where it's a shared prize? Meaning I could enter for prizes over £500 on the H Bauer sites, but not the Bauer sites, even though it's for the same prize draw?

    :rotfl:

I think they need to work it out before anyone else has a chance - Eat in, TV choice, That's life and Bella don't mention a limit but TAB now does (the standard £500).

Although the T&C's would overrule them the FAQs on some C2W are

"Do you limit the number of prizes I can win?
There is no limit to the amount of prizes you can win... Enter all of them if you want to!"

but they are under the main Bauer banner so actually have the £500 limit

They cannot even agree a common timescale for prize delivery

If I do win, when should I expect to receive my prize?
Your prize will be sent to you within 60 days
You should receive your prize within 45 days,

and the WEMs are different again.

At least one of the UK sites still has this as part of the T&C's
The following promotion is open to current legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia only.

Void elsewhere and where prohibited. This promotion is governed by and is subject to all applicable United States federal, state and local laws.
  • Thanks mjm3346 - I think Bauer are as confused as I am! :D
  • If that happened to me I would start using my husbands name, who 'just so happens' to have temporarily moved to his mum and dads for 6 months? :D
  • I would plead ignorance, enter away, and if you win (and receive your prize) you're quids-in. If not, unless you've spent a lot of time or money to enter, you haven't really lost anything :-)

You could still plead ignorance :) , but it does however say in the Bauer T&Cs "enforce our right to disqualify that person and require the return or reimbursement to us of any prize even where a prize has been awarded and/or actually provided to the entrant or prizewinner in question."

This is not about prize limits but the annoying captchas that keep appearing on the click and win,
The worst is the win something website
The captchas appear one day for maybe two weeks, then disappear for a day or two , then they are back with a vengeance
I know the reason for them, to prevent fraud with automated entries from scammers, but they are frustrating and time consuming for the genuine entrants
One or two other sites use them but not so often as winsomething do
I wish they could introduce a less time consuming deterrent
