As posted above you are wasting your breath in this forum.
Take it to the arms and you will get some others happy to discuss it with you0 -
Oh I am happy to waste my breath - got the day off today! I think my question is more relevant here? Some of the regulars here are so eaten up with hatred for who they class as scum (PPC's) that they fail to see that they are helping people who are the main reason for the PPC's to exist in the first place!0

Says it all. Just about kills this thread for 24 hours!
Presumably you get your high horse back tomorrow? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

So is nobody actually going to answer the question? Or can you not justify your actions? Usually somebody comes back with a reasoned response which I may not agree with, but can see the thought process behind it! In this instance, nobody seems to be able to defend the OP's actions? Why is that? Does this mean that in some instances the charges (not always the amount) are actually justified?
In this case, is it possible, that the OP did the wrong thing and should perhaps just take it on the chin and learn from his mistake? Or would that go against every fibre of your being to concede that in some cases, the charges are actually deserved?0 -
Geordy_bear, why exactly did you think you could parking in a permit only bay without displaying a permit?0

As previously advised take this to the arms.0 -
How am I in the wrong forum????????? I am asking a question about a specific thread in THIS forum. I am also asking a question about Motoring - Parking!!! Just because you dont like my question does NOT mean it is in the wrong place! If you dont have an answer - feel free to ignore! The silence speaks volumes!
It is noted that usually when the forum regulars on here feel that they are justified in their arguments they are VERY vocal about it!0 -
@NotBothered ... please create your own new thread to discuss this topic. (Here or Arms - I don't care). Please don't hijack the OP's help thread.0

There is nobody on this forum that condones people abusing the parking rules in car parks but I'm puzzled why you think that should prevent us helping people that ask for help ?"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Because they dont deserve help in evading a ticket when it is thoroughly deserved. He made an informed decision to park in a permit only space and as far as I am concerned he at least deserves to be challenged on his decision and reminded that he did the wrong thing!
Morals are what should prevent you from helping people who have decided that permits are only for those who can be bothered to pay for them. The arrogance of the OP is evident. This is tantamount to theft from both the Land Owner and those who have forked out for a permit. As campaigners for getting rid of parking companies you might be better off educating people on how to park repectfully, which in turn might negate the need for Land Owners to employ the PPC's in the first place.0
