Hair removal - intimate areas!

You could ask 10,000 men.
I remove body hair because I want to.
I'm happily single & ive no desire to change that - all hair still comes off.0 -
As I suspected, there is absolutely no actual evidence to back up the idea that hair removal in this area heightens the sexual experience or is more hygienic
http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/womens-health/removing-pubic-hair.htm
It is simply a matter of personal choice.0 -
It's a bit of a passion killer to have to stop what you're doing to fish pubic hair off the back of your tongue though or wouldn't you agree?Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -

By the way I strongly suspect the OP is a wind up anyway, seeing as they've never come back to the thread :rotfl:
Not sure why you would think my OP was a wind up? I haven't been back for a couple of reasons....
1. I was disappointed the thread took the turn it did into a sort of sexual preference discussion, cos all I wanted to discuss was the IPL method of hair removal for the intimate area!
2. Ive been researching reviews, and individual appliance prices and specifications etc
HOWEVER
I decided to take the plunge and buy a Philips Lumea Prestige IPL hair removal system. I have just started the 8 week programme on underarms, legs and intimate area (I am female if anyone wasn't sure, lol)
If anyone is interested, I will come back with results.

You'll probably start the hair or no hair discussion again OP, lol.
Hope the product works ok for you.left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

UPDATE
Am now 2 weeks into the 8week regime and can report on progress so far:
Legs, underarms and bikini areas have been treated and overall I am reasonably pleased with the results.
The best thing is that it's not painful, it just feels like a blast of gentle heat during treatment, no stinging or pinging!
There is about a 10-20% reduction in hair growth. That is a reduction in the amount of hair regrowth, that which has regrown is the usual length and thickness of each hair iyswim but there is just less hair growing.
Two cons are that you have to shave or epilate prior to treatment which I hate (though hopefully this won't be necessary after the 8 week process is complete ) and secondly the results have been a bit patchy.
The patchiness maybe because it's quite difficult in some areas like the back of legs and (ahem) undercarriage to ensure accurate placing of the device without missing little areas....or it could be that some of my hair is lighter in colour than the recommended brown. My hair colour tends towards the dark blonde/red spectrum, which the manufacturers do state are not treated effectively by the product.
So...I will carry on and update this thread in due course.

Good luck
I just bought a Homedics Duo
I can certainly give the feedback that if you do a shot of full power into a lower area that you cannot see particularly clearly it is eye watering.
What a way to spend a Sunday morning! Aiming a cosmetic light sabre up your nether regions.
Easy on legs etc but yet to see if it works0 -

Lol.....I must admit I get the giggles when I think about how I spend time getting into all sorts of contorted positions to zap certain parts!
If it's not too distasteful to mention.....I have enlisted the assistance of my partner to reach really hard-to-reach areas...with hilarious results....but I digress......:rotfl:
4 weeks and Two more treatments in, the results are that my lower legs are now 90% hair free and the remaining hairs are the lightest and finest and are pretty much invisible more than a couple of inches away, so I would say that's been a complete success.
Upper legs and bikini areas are about 75% hair free. I will keep re treating every two weeks . Slightly disappointed with the results but I think it's been less successful due to the areas being harder to reach and so I am possibly missing bits.
Underarms are about 85% hair free and the regrowth is soft and fine, so I am pleased with that.
I'll be back with an update in another month or so.
