You want a downloaded, 2-page document from the internet to protect an asset worth 10s if not 100s of thousands of pounds? Hmmmm

Surely what matters is that the TA meets your needs, not the length.

And hadn't you better specify type size? A 2 page document written in 1 will be very different to a 2 page document in 7.

Sadly experience tells LL's that potentially the "nice simple 2 page tenancy template" is likely to become the very complicated document going forward.......

but then again...you pay your money and you take your choice.....

Lawpack offer some downloadable ones, small print can squeeze it down to two pages though I wouldn't say that makes them simple. You have to pay for them though

I sign my Tenancy Agreement online and its 22 pages long one or two could be done away with but its not overly complicated. I would be concerned that an agreement as short as 2 pages would be open to interpretation by both parties and could cause problems in the future. Better to be more specific from the outset so that all parties know where they sat and.

    Try the **free** government one...

IMHO it is not possible to effectively protect a landlord's interests in just 2 pages: But, hey, your choice!

Forgot to say, only a 2 page one as it is for just one month and the two parties already know and trust each other

Then why use a written agreement at all? Mind you I always think it's better to have something in writing especially with friends and family so that there are no mis-understandings further down the line.

As an aside did you know that should this go t i t s up and the tenants decide not to leave after 1 month there will be hee haw you can do about it for another 5 months?
