    Hi all

I have just cancelled my very long subscription with Virgin I phoned them to haggle but they were having none of it. Even having the audacity to tell me it is going up  They wanted £133 per month :rotfl: Considering I have been with them for years. I politely told them where they can stick their TV/phone/broadband package.

I followed the link from this site and then chatted to sky via the on line chat facility. I haggled and played the 'feel sorry for me,I'm poor' card and managed to secure an even better deal with Sky. The exact same package for over half of the monthly cost.

Thus saving me £75.85 per month I cannot believe I was actually paying what I was  This will teach me as I was paying bits to it weekly and not really noticing.

DS and DD have agreed to contribute to this also from now on

  • Well done Bob you are well on your way now :T

I've made an overpayment to CC today. Little and often, that's how I like it :p

The sun is shining here and I have washing out :j
The things I get excited about :rotfl:

Will be checking food stores today as I know I have been overdoing it again. I seem to have drifted away from my weekly shopping list and tend to buy for just in case reasons.

I mean if the street went into ration mode overnight I am sure I would have enough to keep us all going :o

Will make time today to meal plan for the week ahead and check stores before hitting the supermarket. I think I only need bread and milk and NO just in case buys at all this weekend

I hope the sun is shining where you all are too :)

If the Zombie Apocalypse happens Bear, head on over ;)

£910.20 a year  OMG What I can do with that. It will knock some time off my DFD :T

I aim to pay some extra every month off of my debt. The extra will come from what I have been paying Virgin. I have been paying it up until now and coping so I will not really miss it.

I'm off to rummage through food stores. There will just a pair of legs sticking out of the chest freezer in a minute :rotfl:

  • Well I survived the fight with the freezer. Managed to get some very cheap collapsible, plastic box thingys from Argos.

I emptied the freezer and have reorganised it. :) It was all just piled in there and no one [STRIKE]wanted to [/STRIKE]could be bothered to search for what was in there

Meat in one box, veg in another, miscellaneous in another and so on. I can now find what's in there.

Embarrassed to say I came across lots of meat that hasn't even been in there that long :o

    I discovered a large joint of Gammon, 2 joints of Beef. Sausages,bacon,chicken fillets,mince,burgers :o

Just goes to show I am not being very :money:

Suffice to say I will not be food shopping this weekend.

My DD thinks I have an illness where food is concerned. Its as if I panic when we are running low on anything. She says "mum we are not going to starve to death"

Note to self: Empty freezer before I buy any more food.
