My wife walked out of a shop today after listening to three people in the queue argue with the assistant about the rights and wrongs of charging 5p for a bag.

I hope she made it clear she was walking out due to petty people in the queue and made it clear they were the reason for her walking out (by verbally telling them or making it clear is some blatant other way) rather than making the cashier feel at fault.

I cannot beleive the panic about a plastic bag.

I hope to heaven this country never has to go to war again.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • So agree with a previous poster - what is the problem?

I love my Asda Charity hessian bags (1.50 with substantial donation to charity of design of bag i.e. poppies for Remembrance and hearts for Heart UK) and of course my green proper Middle Class flat bottomed Waitrose bags which fold flat.

She did. She spoke to someone on the shop floor and suggested the cashier moved to people who were willing to pay rather than argue over something she had no control over.
