How much annual leave do you get?

I struggle with just 26 days a year. Having two weeks off uses more than 1/3 of my years allowance. My organisation will give an additional 5 days after 5 years service then 10 days after 10 years service.

However I still count myself lucky. In the U.S people normally get 2 weeks leave!!

    38days is brilliant.

I feel lucky that I get the option of TOIL though which is easily built up.

I have a friend who works in a school so works term time only. She's in one of the very few non teaching roles that get the full pay, not pro rata.

43 days in total. I think I'm very lucky as new staff do not now get the extra additions for long service.

Officially I offer staff 20 days plus bank hols, but in reality once we know they're a keeper we don't really mind how much staff take off (some go on hol 4 or 5 times a year), and we give them full pay even if off sick (one member was off for a year recovering from chemo with full pay). Its quite a relaxed but hard working office where everyone has input, staff can b*gger off and watch TV/films, play on consoles, darts, bring their kids in, spend a few hours in the pub opposite or bring some tinnies in, work from home if it keeps them happy and motivated. Think its working, out of 15 staff this year, there has been a total of 2 sick days (probably hang overs, my programmers are light weights), and we've doubled turnover year on year since 2010.
  • 25 days plus the 8 days bank holidays.
  • Just asked my OH. He gets 40.5 including bank holidays.
Grateful to finally be debt free!
