Good or bad year for comping?

Not a very good year for me either. I did have a couple of nice wins in April/May (weekends away), but only bits and pieces apart from that. This month I'm having my worst month in 6 years of comping, I've even thought of changing my email, but I know really its just a case of keep going and things will change eventually:)0

not bad for me, had a few minor wins topped off by winning a holiday with m&m's0

The reporter who was touting for business a while ago in iwiwiw did post this without any evidence to support it (probably because it is incorrect)I noticed that ITV have cut back on online comps since the gov quietly changed their rules (they don't have to offer an online option ).
As far as I am aware there has not been any change in the rules, offering free web entry has never been a requirement under the Gaming Act only an alternative to "free" postal and that goes back at least as far as 2009.
ITV, in line with most premium rate operators, now simply choose to offer postal instead of web most of the time (all about maximising income as per their annual report).
If the rules were to change then they should be updated to reflect the massive increase in internet access over the years. That would make web entry the default/sanctioned free route, if they didn't do that but made it a requirement to use a freepost address it would have the same effectIn 2015, 86% of households in Great Britain (22.5 million) had an internet connection. This was up from 84% in 2014 and 57% in 2006the Commission has developed the following principles, which we intend to use as a guide when considering whether web entry is a sufficient alternative route for those who seek to use it:
• potential participants who do not have home web access need sufficient time to gain web access elsewhere. The Commission considers three working days
around the date of the particular draw as a reasonable length of time to obtain
such access
• participation by web access should be available at all times while the scheme is being actively promoted and until the closing date/time for entries. Therefore, a quiz taking place during a television programme should permit web entries while the programme is being aired if entries by other means are permitted at that time as well
• the availability of free entry via the web should be made widely known, for
example as the general policy for schemes organised by the operator
concerned
• where any doubts exist as to whether the web entry arrangements in any
particular case fully satisfy the Act’s requirements, other routes, for example by
post that has been specifically sanctioned by Parliament, should be offered in

I've posted a few times on threads like this, but what the heck I'll say it again, this year has been AWFUL! I've won a grand total of six prizes all year, one of which was £1 worth of Clubcard points, and another one was a tube of moisturiser which hasn't yet arrived, 8 weeks later! The only half decent thing I've won all year was a £80 John Lewis voucher, which I was very grateful for as it paid for my husband's birthday present, but in comparison to other years it has been absolutely dire. I've had four out of eight totally dry months, and very little in the other four!
Think the comping fairy has totally forgotten who I am!0 -
I was having a really great year up until mid-July, but recently the prizes have dried up! Hoping to just push through and I'll win a big one soon!0
