Good or bad year for comping?

Options
It's not a moan as I feel my biggest win came last Thursday with my children's GCSE results, one VERY proud Mum :D

Having spent goodness knows how many hours comping this year it has been so bad and I am beginning to think that after 3 years my name may be getting bypassed, anyone else think this sometimes?

I have also noticed that the "I won I won I won" thread isn't as busy as it has been in the past which has led me to this post.
Comping from May 2012 :D

Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help :)

Same here , never had a year as bad as this !

seem to be putting more time into it and not getting much back , one win a month is a good month :(

there is alot more comping now , it is harder to win !

To the end of July exactly the same number of wins as last year and one less than the year before but value is well down.
  • The change in rules that enforced web entry to telephone competitions will have caused a dent in value I suspect. I'm doing OK so far, put in an hour a day since the beginning of June and have won some good stuff.
    Started Comping: 1st June 2015
Prizes so far: 12kg Dog Food, Pro-Thermal Cream, Kindle Fire HD, Playing Cards, Canvas Bag, Cherry Tree, Jupiter Ascending Merch, Jelly Footballs, Afternoon Tea
  • I think it has a lot to do with the amount of articles/ Facebook groups which encourage new compers but I think it will pick up again once the numbers drop

In saying that I have had an ok year but I find on the whole with comping I can have a bad year than a good year ( one year I won 4 holidays in one year for example ) its just the way it goes sometimes
July 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books

    Year to date: £786

    Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345

I did more comping last year than this year as ive been too busy with other stuff but numbers-wise i won more last year (esp in the advents) but this year ive won more valuable stuff (like a holiday, tablet, VIP camping tickets to Download festival etc) so value wise its better so far but numbers wise its not

..touch wood for a better advent season this year

Not a great year (compared to previous). Hoping it'll pick up as we head into the autumn months.
