Notice the word mitigate, not remove. Its not difficult to timestamp using sources which can't be tampered with.

In any event expecting a warden to photograph every car then go through hundreds of photos to find the cars which may have been there over two hours, whilst still photographing cars arriving is impossible.
Indeed. Applying simple commonsense to the standard car park situation makes it obvious that there really are only two alternatives (or variants of them). Either the attendant sits at the entrance/exit and notes and photographs every car in and out - in effect acting like a human ANPR - or was to issue each with a timed ticket on their entering and checked it when they left, there isn't any other foolproof manned option - assuming that there was an evidential need/interest in identifying every vehicle's movements.

Not that I am commenting on UKPC's methods particularly but the seemingly complete absence of audit tapes in PPC-operated ANPR settings (these are rolling CCTV recordings of all movements allowing checks to be made for missed or misread ANPR captures) is suggestive of a mindset that isn't interested in achieving justice.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • I think there is some confusion here , the "I warden2" app that people are referring to , is not for use by UKPC employees , it has been designed and handed out to hundreds of "Norris cole" type people who by simply taking one picture (as proof of vehicle on site , and entering 2 times (arrival /time now) UKPC will send someone a invoice , that if paid will result in Norris getting his £10.

the warden (ukpc employee) is supposed to watch the arrival of cars with his little book and pen , and if they overstay issue a ticked , along with taking a photo to prove the reg number and ticket present.

UKPC are twisting this procedure and taking the !!!!

Says who? BPA and DVLA don't care how they do it. It's clear from the report on the telly that the warden is simply wandering around pointing his 'phone at cars.

  • When will these sites realise that a gate on entry, take ticket, pay on exit for any over 2/3 hours, is the only sensible way forward. Cost more initially but running costs are minimal.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

because the likes of PR and UKPC offer to do the job , sometimes free , on the understanding that they get to keep all the "fine" money

this in no way helps the retailer

The only UKPC app that appears to be widely available (for android and iphone) is iTicket - UKPC's page where there are links to download it even if you need a UKPC registered email and password to use it, it seems.

However, despite my best efforts I cannot track down iWarden 2 as a generally available app but you can read UKPC's guff about it here

  • Total compliance with all current DVLA and British Parking Association (BPA) legislation
Neither of either have any legalisation to comply with, one is a trade body and the other a civil service department, a total and utter lie, BPA Legalisation ?

Dont have an android device any more but it opens and runs in developer mode without log in, bet they dont know that !
The times are entered by the person using the app not the phones camera.
You can put what you like.
What is anyone going to do about ?

Over on the FB page dealing with this matter, somebody has reported receiving a letter from UKPC claiming they "regularly take people to court". From memory, I don't think that's true is it?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Might be if they choose to prosecute their dishonest wardens.
